I was practicing the special effects on the camera the last time i was in L.A., and it wasn't until now that I saw that buffalo pop out to me. I was going for the ethereal look. / Artist @banditstreetart #bandit
Shout out to the ladies this weekend who continue to honour the legacy of every strong woman who went before them, so we could have a voice now. #fuckthepatriarchy . . .

"White Supremacy is Killing Me." It's killing all of us. Slowly, and usually to the background drone of Fox News and Trump demonising and degrading someone. This weeks it's Africans and Haitians. Next week🤷🏻♀️ It's hate-roulette and the rattle is deafening. Breaking the sound shield, @jessicasabogal is refusing to let this racist, sexist theme song be the new normal. Text is her launchpad as she deep dives into poetry and recollections that fuel her work from can to street canvas, and leaves it glistening with messages of social change, action and empowerment. She's injecting women of colour everywhere with solid visions of power, courage and beauty - visions and dreams she draws gently from her own corked bottle of history as a queer Colombian-American, spraying in a male arena. "The struggles from living as a lesbian and a woman of color are omnipresent. They never leave. They make a bed in your home." But this #urbannasty is turning down the cover and slipping her political voice between the sheets. Growing up she wanted to be President to make change, instead her voice is amplified on the streets where it can be heard by anyone who is subjected to the new-world-order where they are told they aren't important enough. She is saying you are. So fists up - it's round 2. Ding ding! 🥊💪. N.B. This artwork was vandalised only days after it was finished. They flew her back to fix it!!👌
