Throwback to the virgin 10k in July, can't believe it's been 6 weeks since I was running through the streets of London! It's good to set yourself a goal to work towards so why not set yourself a challenge to keep you motivated if you feel your motivation is slipping a bit?
💥 Bulgarian Split Squats 💥
Just like my reverse lunges and with any unilateral exercise you often find that you have one side stronger than the other.
For me it's my right side that is dominant but when it comes to training I often it's my left side that seems to be stronger 🤔
When it came to split squats I was picking a weight that I was finding comfortable for my stronger leg but then when it came to training my weaker leg I found it extremely difficult to match the same range of motion and number of reps which ultimately leads to further imbalances.
To combat this I am now training my weaker leg first 👆 knowing that that I easily match it when it comes to training my stronger leg.
I'm still here! 🙋🏻 I have no idea how @_thegirlinblack_ is doing 100 floors on the stair master (she's due a day after me!) because it's a struggle for me to put on jeans 😂 proud of that girl! So excited for my induction on Tuesday but also hoping that I spontaneously go into labour before that...!? 😁 can't wait to have my baby girl here! 💗 #38weekspregnant

Feeling tired and sluggish today, but still wanted to maintain consistency with my efforts in the gym, so I threw away my workout plan and decided to do the 'Hotel Gym Workout' by @smittydiesel instead. Stabilized by plate-loaded machines I was still able to get a solid full body strength workout, even on a day that I didn't feel like it. The 'Hotel Gym Workout' consisted of :
- Lat Pulldowns
- Seated Rows
- Chest Press (overhand)
- Chest Press (hammer grip)
- Chest Press (underhand)
- Machine Dips
- Machine Preacher Curls
- DB Shrugs
