There comes a moment in everyone’s lives where they need to decide to stay stuck or do the work… have you reached it yet? Comment below if you know exactly what I am talking about! Who's ready to do the work!
It doesn't get EASIER, you get BETTER!
Now, I know this saying usually refers to the physical aspect of working out. But today it totally hit my emotional side.
It's not always easy to push play. No matter who you are...or the time of day, some days the hardest part about a workout is just convincing yourself to do it
Sure, you get physically stronger each day you workout, but today I realized you also get stronger emotionally.
With each workout, you get better at knowing your excuses...and how to overcome them.
Better at knowing that if you just try 5 minutes, that will be enough to get the endorphins flowing and through to the end.
Better at knowing that you will feel so much better afterwards - mind, body and soul!
Better at knowing we're all human and will have our good days and bad days...and that that's OKAY!
Pushing play doesn't always get EASIER, but each workout is a chance to get BETTER at being stronger than our excuses
And strengthening that mindset is so important - because at the end of the day, it's our mind that decides whether or not we're pressing play.
So here's to getting better! And to continuing working on ourselves - mindset, body and soul 🙌 #strengthenyourmind#workonyourself#focusonyou#mind#body#soul#alittlebiteveryday#itdoesntgeteasieryougetbetter#fitnesssuccess#noexcuses#yourhuman
You see me working out and all that ishhh right? What you DON'T see is all the work I do for my brain.
I'm strengthening my mindset DAILY. 💪 It takes work, but you have to learn to grow with where your life is taking you. And that doesn't just happen on its own.
Remember this - "All problems are created by the undisciplined mind" #Boom ! 👊
Accountability is a personal responsibility: meaning you are taking action towards your goals, staying on the path, and trusting in the process. Ask yourself, how are you holding yourself accountable to achieve your goals? I have connected with hundreds of women over the years and we all have something in common... most of us feel like their is a big piece of our lives that is missing... but we aren't sure exactly what it is. Most of us have reached a level of success in our jobs and family life, we have beautiful friends and beautiful things - but something still isn't quite right. Do this sound like you? It definitely described me last year. I had to hold myself accountable by taking massive action that put me into a position of sink or swim. If you don't take action in your life you will continue to talk about things but never make real change. (you'll talk the talk but never walk the walk). You will continue to have a great life but you will know there is something more. How will you ever figure it out (that thing that is missing) if you first don’t hold yourselves accountable? Step One take action (any action - maybe my online course coming up to help you uncover your purpose) - know matter what it is: TAKE ACTION. Step two: COMMIT :how far you decided to take it is up to you. Let me repeat: how FAR YOU DECIDED TO TAKE IT, IS UP TO YOU. You don't have to do it alone but it's time to take responsibility for your life because you are the only one living it.
Couldn't get to #Westsideyoga so, I followed along with the live (and, strong!) class they offered, tonight.
I felt so good, I created this Yoga asana collage! XO
*edited to add: my beautiful furry bff was on my mat the whole time! If you look closely, you'll see her to the right of the photos. Kinda hard to see her because she's got that dark coat. ❤ 🐶 *
What you truly want is what we all want….. to live in a state of self-sustained happiness. Yet most of us don’t look at joy as a strategy. But JOY, aka self-sustained happiness, is a strategy. A strategy when understood will lead you to experience fulfillment in all aspects of your life. This is what the Strength and Surrender philosophy is all about. Through developing a deeper connection to your body, building a bridge to your Soul with your breath, and awakening to the truth of your mind, you are able to unlock your purpose and live your highest potential. Living in this mind, body, soul alignment, living in alignment with your values, automatically produces that state of happiness and joy. Doing this work alone creates tremendous strength, but without a strategic system, it can take years to uncover your deepest desires and how to obtain them. Anyone can take a yoga class, develop more conscious awareness, and shift their mindset. But is there a system to it? Are you connecting all three,or most days do you still feel like a chicken with it’s head cut off? (sorry, for that imagery - but seriously!) Without a strategy and system it can take you years to figure this out, but most of us will stop before we even do (wandering around no mans' land without a purpose or any sort of certainty makes most people quit before they ever reach their goals and acquire their dreams). Don't be that person. Choose to live each day in a state of happiness. (PS. If you are curious about my personalized strategy DM me for more details).
What does it take to create and maintain an ideal life? And when I say ideal I don’t necessarily mean wealth and fame. Most of those people (think Kardashians) are actually miserable and leading empty existences on this earth. What I mean is being healthy, waking up each morning with a ton of energy and excitement because you are fueled by a higher purpose and passion, living in a state of self-sustained happiness (all the freaking time you can't stop smiling because life is that fucking good!), and being a master of your emotions (hint: no more moments of yelling at someone in traffic or being emotionally triggered and drained because your mom is coming into town). Think about it - what does it take to create and maintain an ideal life? Want to know the answer? Sign up for my free newsletter at carimerriam.com/join and I will share all of my secrets with you!
