#MeditationMonday -- "Let that shit go."
This morning, I was feeling kind of anxious about some answers and insight that I've been seeking. For a while, I let my mind wander about what the truth is and how I can find the answers I'm looking for, my brain was just all over the place, making me feel overwhelmed and distracting me from what I really needed to be focused on.
I had to remind myself to breathe, stay present, and to let go of those thoughts that weren't serving me. The ones that were making me feel less than my best self. The ones that were causing me to become distracted from the present moment. .
A big reason why I was able to re-center myself and stay in the moment was because I have a daily meditation practice. And meditating regularly allows you live from a space of peace and find your calm as well. If you're ready to begin your practice, I'd love to help!

I’m taking a class this semester called personal health and behavior change and today’s lecture was on caring for your mind and stress management. we went on this website called artfulness where they use art such as mandalas and meditation to bring mindfulness. it had a deep meaning in the way that you bring your attention in the present moment to something you’re working on, and then throw it away to let go of all your stress and worries.
I really needed this after this rough weekend. my schedule has been thrown off, I haven’t been taking care of myself, I haven’t ran in two weeks due to my injury and it sucks because running is my outlet for all my negativity and stress so all my worries and thoughts have been building up inside me and I just crashed this weekend. sometimes, when life gets too hard, you just have to be easy on yourself and practice self love. so that’s what I did. I took the day off from studying, from my phone, and just spent the day in my room alone all day Sunday. I got up this morning in a better mood, I was able to do this relaxing meditation during class and I’m really excited to get back to running this week.
The float cabin is the perfect place to make that happen. But if you can't float, just find a little moment of quiet in your day. Don't follow any particular thought, and just let yourself enjoy a moment of just being.

Remember what you've already done and forget what's left to come
You can't predict everything but you can congratulate everything. Making to do lists are great, and I fully encourage them but we forget how much we've already accomplished because we're always looking onto the next thing. Keep making moves in the right direction, but give yourself a pat on the back for everything you've ticked off your list and remind yourself of how far you've come. Be that smily turtle and be proud of what you're doing 😊
Monday Mood Management and Movement Tip: Our breath and posture is a good indicator and reflection of what's going on in our mind and body. As we go throughout our day we must pay special attention to our breath and body. Are we taking full deep breaths? Are we fully inhaling and exhaling? Take sometime during the day to relieve any tightness and tension you may have in your body and in particular your back, shoulders and neck. In last weeks tip I shared inhaling shoulders to ears and releasing them. You may even do seated cat and cow practice if at work or get on the floor. Remember to breathe. Inhale as you open your body up and raise you head to the sky. Exhale out all of the stale air as you round your back and bring your chin towards your chest.
You know when you're so unbelievably stressed out and busting your @$$ for the most demanding, nightmare client and it starts to affect other aspects of your life? Well that started to be me today, until I ran through a quick breathing exercise.
I would've been at that point weeks ago, but my superfoods, workouts, support system, personal development, and self-care are literally keeping me SANE. Man has my stress management changed so much 👌
