This is one of those things that's really difficult to post & probably a lot of people wouldn't. I know stretch marks are something that's normal for a lot of women while pregnant & I also know that skin type & genetics have a part to play in their development. I have very oily skin & have never gotten stretch marks in the past despite some very rapid weight changes due to my eating disorder. I knew I'd get a few but I figured I was pretty safe. Wrong. Hello third trimester, hello stretch marks. Now I'm not going to show the rest of them bc I'm not getting down to my underwear & sharing my butt region with the world. But it's hard. Every time I catch a glimpse of my hips/ butt/ thighs/ boobs ... hey, there's more. & the first thing that comes to mind is the fact I've got another 6-7 weeks of growing & stretching to do.
I'm not posting this for sympathy or anything like that. I'm sharing this to be real. The stretch marks to me have been one of the hardest things to get my head around, I don't know if it's bc I didn't really expect them or bc they're one of the more 'permanent' side effects or simply just bc I'm more emotional right now.
Pregnancy has been quite the test for me, on so many levels! But esp in terms of body confidence & "self-love" however I can still quite truthfully say I love my body even if I don't love everything my body has going on right now ... stretch marks, cellulite, fat/ weight gain, acne plus much more if we're talking beyond looks. I've cried & had some meltdowns over my body the last few months but what my body is doing right now is worth a hell of a lot more to me than the way it looks. The blessing of being able to create & grow a new life is incredible. Honestly, I was unsure how I'd cope with being pregnant considering my history. I'm proud that I have been able to maintain a balanced, healthy & positive relationship with my body despite the fact I've got stuff going on I don't love, is perhaps viewed as "bad" or "ugly" by societies standards & am basically going backward on all my goals from pre pregnancy. But you know what? I would (& will, God willing) do it all again in a heart beat even if I turn into one giant stretch mark.

What I had the night before after 3 consecutive exams😵 Red rice 🍚 pumpkins 🎃 beansprouts 🎋 sesame garlic doumiao stirfry 🌱 delish mushrooms marinated in sesame oil and cornflour 🍄 nooch 🧀 and linghan's garlic sriracha which definitely is the spiciest I've tried so far but I wouldn't recommend it to people like me who can't handle strong taste of garlic!😂🌶 As foreseeable, exams didn't went well at all yesterday. I'd definitely messed up and studied for the wrong topics and the lack of time honestly😞 Sigh does anyone else have the same vexations with time management?:'D

First post! I'm super nervous about this but here it goes 🙌

I started this account because I want to keep myself accountable. I feel like I've started and re-started my fitness journey so many times. I knew I was gaining weight in college, and I tried to work out but I didn't change horrid my eating habits. I would lose motivation or life just would come in the way, and I'd stop trying. Before I knew it, I gained 45 lbs. 
I'm tired of hating my body, of not liking how I look, and I'm going to change it. This change isn't for the people who called me fat, or to reach some impossible standard. I'm doing this for me - I want to feel good about my body. I want to look strong and beautiful and confident, and I have to remember to take it one day at a time. So here's a photo of me stretching, to remind myself to stay take it slow, to be consistent, and to keep going. I got this 👊

Truly stoked on my leg/butt gains. I can't even tell you. My friends and family and I always referred to my butt as a pancake because it was wide and flat. We also always said I had chicken legs because they were always very thin compared to my frame. I am still pudge in the middle but I have made such progress and I am stoked.

So I've been working on improving my form for the past couple of weeks, and I think it's getting better already. I was able to get 3x1 @ 235 tonight, but could not get 245 for the life of me...and ripped my hands apart trying 🙄.... maybe next week 💪🏻 (I'm glad you can't see my left leg trembling from this angle 😂)

I didn't get inpatient ! I'm so so relived. I have blood tests on Friday and Monday and another hospital appointment Monday. I had two slices of musli bar for snack and then the hospital made me have cheese, crackers and apple juice. After my appointment I went out to a steak house with mum and my grandma (fear food!!) and had this. I finished it all and I'm super proud :)

For those who believe lifting weights isn't for girls...I can squat 150lbs, bench press over 100lbs, deadlift 200lbs. So you can make whatever judgements you want, but I'm proud of this body and all it is capable of! I may not be a skinny as I used to be, I'm up 20lbs but my weight doesn't define me, I like all the muscle I put on cause I worked hard for it. I won't ever let others hold me back. No matter what anyone says or tries to convince me of I won't stop doing what I love, I will continue to build my strength because those numbers are no where near what I know I can become capable of. This is only the beginning....

Prepped the filling last night so all I had to do today was stuff it into some tortillas, top them with a little cheese & pop them in the oven. Dinner was ready in 20 minutes!😊 Btw, homemade enchilada sauce is a total game changer!👍🏻

I've seen a lot of people doing Low Carb High Fat lately.
Firstly... kudos to you, because if it honestly works for your body, then I'm all for it!
# LISTENTOYOURBODY 
But please know it doesn't work for everyone!
I went strictly paleo, followed by eating a paleo based diet for nearly 2+ years.
At first I thought it was a godsend!
It seemed to help my IBS and gave me energy... that however, soon changed!
It started causing more issues than it helped and the mass amount of fibre I was consuming caused havoc on my health, but I put this down to me "not doing it right" because I saw sooo many other girls eating LCHF and felt that it had to work for me.
So I'd switched things up, the qualities of the food, increasing the fats, eating more protein, blamed it on certain vegetables I thought had been causing pain.
But finally, (not going to lie, after a big battle with myself) the last few months I've slowly been adding carbs and GRAINS back into my diet, giving my body time to adjust and honestly I'm feeling more ME again.
My energy is coming back, my mood swings and foggy head have faded and I have more clarity.
Gut health is so important!
A happy tummy means a happy head and I cannot stress enough the importance of listening to your own body!
Be true to who you are, what you love and how your own body works.
Just because something is "on trend" or everyone is doing it, doesn't mean you should follow✌🏻

I added box jumps in between ab sets to keep my heart rate up. it worked! 💦 try adding some box jumps or burpees to your next workout to keep your heart racing. it feels so good to challenge yourself 💪🏼 and sweat 😅

For dinner tonight I had a big bowl of brown rice, broccoli, flax tempeh, and avocado (first picture). After dinner I was still somewhat hungry so I had a nectarine (second picture). Practice today was amazing, but I am exhausted now. I'm currently watching the season finale of PLL!!!! I hope all of you love bugs are having a wonderful night! Stay strong 💪🏼

The muscle aches are for real today. I can barely walk after Monday's leg day and washing my hair seems impossible after yesterday's upper body day! 💪🏼
But don't they say no pain no gain! Today is a night off and I have a date with my bed at 8pm! 😴 
I have a month before I go to visit family and friends in Europe and till then I hope I stay healthy and get to train without interruption.. we all know what going home means.. endless amount of food and treats for few weeks!! I can't wait! 😍

I wanted to get a few deliveries before I posted about this, but we have been using a delivery service called @ImperfectProduce and I'm so happy with it! They take fruits and veggies that can't be sold at stores (nothing wrong with them, just not pretty enough) and sell them at discounted prices in these mixed boxes. We've been getting the medium produce box and I just had to show all of the food we get in one delivery. Look at this! And aside from a few items it's all stuff I'd buy at the store anyway. With this service we're eating more fruits and veggies than ever! I think they're only available in parts of CA and in Portland but hopefully they can expand into more areas. Ok so imma be real for a sec... lately I have been in the BIGGEST funk with regards to training and eating. I've been lacking motivation to train and my sessions haven't been amazing! My eating has been less than stellar. The last few days I've obviously indulged in festivities involving cake 🎂 and alcohol 🥂 and I've just had really meh 🤷🏻‍♀️ vibes all round. BBG Stronger has been good but I've found with my knees I'm having to swap a lot of the exercises and that's be affecting my motivation. I'd had a chat a few weeks back to the manager at my gym (Shoutout to Elisha at @goodlife_menai for putting up with my whinging 🙈) and she suggested switching it up and booking in with a PT! So today I had a session with Jess and she literally sat me down and we talked through everything that's been going on lately. We mapped out a plan of action, set some goals and hit up some weights. I think today was exactly what I needed to get me back on track! Yes I am up in the gym at 11 pm getting my workout done. I don't care that I'm on vacation. Working out in an empty fitness center helps me focus and clear my head. It's almost like my meditation. I can set my purpose and mentally plan out my following day without being so stressed ❤️

This weekend was rough, with what felt like never ending doctors appointments, labs, blood work, and scans, BUT.... I'm all clear! The "bump" turned out to be a non-cancerous tumor, and it isn't affecting anything major.... BIGGEST SIGH OF RELIEF EVERRRRR. I'll have surgery in a month or so, but for now I'm just going to keep doing what I'm doing. 🤓✌🏼🤸🏼‍♂️

What's for dinner on your plate?? On my plate tonight is grilled salmon, a little crab cake, grilled veggies, mixed salad and artichoke leaves.  Salmon gives you some amazing omega 3 properties, the veggies have essential vitamins, artichokes help decrease the degeneration of brain cells, help with indigestion, have a ton of fiber and Antioxidants!! 😱😋. Plus some Rose.  A good meal to eat tonight. .

I have to be honest...my boyfriend normally grills but tonight I am on my own.  So I took a stab at it.  It didn't taste as great as when he would grill, but honestly when someone else cooks it tastes so much better 😻. It still turned out tasty and I am still learning the art of grilling!!

So last year I competed for my procard at NPC Universe which happens to be coming up again this weekend.  Obviously didn't get my procard. 😣 But with NPC Universe coming up and me coincidentally competing at a different show the same weekend I figured this a great opportunity to see my progress since last year. 😉

Like I've said, the Musclecontest fam is always close to my heart ❤ and I'm excited to compete at their venue in Vegas! Moreover I'm excited that I'll be competing with the gratification that I bested myself from last year! 🙌
