Style inspired by the creative and super talented @anomalousbraids. It's the top half of a style posted about a week ago (definitely check it out). Theirs is perfectly executed (unlike mine), and ends in some gorgeous fishtails.
Style inspired by @elite_hair_braids. She actually posted it a few weeks ago, and I tried it a couple times, but was always rushing and couldn't get it neat. I was rushing again, and it's not as neat as hers (my part is crooked), but I still think that it looks cute
I've discovered that I really like adding braids to lazy wrap buns. It's great for containing small baby hairs. I actually did this style a few days ago, but didn't post. Seeing @braidsareback_hairstyles post this morning, I decided to twin with her. Let's call it #FriendlyFriday .
On most mornings, I only have about 15 minutes to do both girls' hair, so I stick with quick styles. On the rare occasions that they are more efficient getting ready in the morning, I like trying something a little harder. I took advantage of the efficiency to practice my 5 strand braids. They are coming along, but still need more work
Summer like temperatures have returned after some cooler weather, so I needed to get my hair off my neck. It won't be too much longer before the temps drop again and continue to drop and I leave my hair down #hairselfie
My daughter's hair this weekend was inspired by @_sarstyles_ . We didn't add curls, and finished with a regular pony instead of a side pony. It's not as neat as I would like (she was really squirmy), but it did keep her hair out of her eyes. #containthemane
So, on Friday I attempted a double waterfall twist for the 1st time. When I took the picture, I noticed the mistakes that tend to happen when you can't see the back of your own head. I see all these amazing braiders on IG (and you all inspire me), that I didn't want to post it initially. But then I realized that everyone makes mistakes, it is how we learn. Practice makes perfect after all. Keep trying! #hairselfie
This style is inspired by @blondehairncurls and others doing the #twinningtuesdayhairstyles . I don't like hair elastics and try to avoid them when styling hair, so I finished with a fishtail instead of a pull-through braid. #hairselfie
While I prefer quick hairstyles, I have always been a big fan of braids. I started French and Dutch braiding my hair when I was 11, but only very recently tried anything more complex like these zipper and 5 strand braids. I'm hoping to branch out even further with time.
