‘To Sulphate or not to Sulphate ... that is the question’
One of the most common questions about shampoo and conditioner is why are Sulphates bad and what do they do?
Sulphates cause shampoo to really lather up which is great however they are known to strip the natural oils from your hair leaving it damaged. Curly hair can become frizzy and colour/keratin treated hair can be left very dull and dry. Not all bad ... a shampoo containing Sulphate can be useful for a deep cleanse every so often to break down product build up.
Most of our Label.M shampoos and conditioners are Sulphate free preventing brittleness, dryness and colour fade. With all our product knowledge we can help prescribe the right products for your hair needs.
Check out out Honey and Oat trio, one of our most moisturising of the range ...
Hair care is just as important as skin, lip and nail care 😊. The @moroccanoil range of shampoos and conditioners have always been a favorite of mine 💙! The range is color safe, doesn't contain any sulphates, phosphates and parabens so it won't damage your hair 😁! Also moroccan argan oil has always been known to be great for hair, making it longer, stronger and shinier 💖 and who doesn't want that?! It doesn't hurt that it smells like a dream ☁
Try out some of these products and let me know what you think 😚! Have a great day!
My beauty Monday, hair care and routines. Today I discuss the hair care routine that has proven to work miracles on my own hair. I have naturally curly hair which can be a bit of a mission sometimes. But I’ve finally found the routine that just works so well. And I’m here to share it with you. Whether it’s a miracle hot oil treatment from @lushsouthafrica 🌼 a sulfate free shampoo from @____scar____ 🌼 a delicious natural strawberry conditioner from @heygorgeoussa 🌼 some essential hair oil from @clicks_sa 🌼 or finally tried and tested heat protection sprays from @hhwh_sa 🌼 I have it all covered in my blog, the link is in my bio.
Stylist review✨ "Rejuvabeads to the rescue!! This stuff is legit people! Did a balayage refresh on this babe and used Monat balance system as well as the Rejuvenique oil and Blow out cream. She has super curly hair, but it looks so smooth with Monat!"

Focus of the week: Dry Itchy Hair and Scalp
Focus of the day: Relief Yesterday ee talkef about the causes and triggers of Dry Itchy Hair and Scalp. Today we're going to focus on some relief efforts and healing. There are 6 main causes of Dry Itchy Hair and Scalp:
1. A bacterial infection caused by a auto-immune condition such as: psoriasis and alopecia
Relief: a chamomile tea rinse will calm the skin, and can be taken internally to calm the spirit
2. Weather changes from season to season
Relief: change your hair washing routine. Add a few more days in between your washes so that your body's natural oils can hydrate your scalp.
3. Mineral deficiencies of Vitamin A, B12, C, and Zinc
Relief: a multivitamin supplement, or a cup of nettle leaf tea twice a day.
Relief: complications from dehydration can cause kidney failure and coma. Increase fluid intake, you should consume small amounts of electrolyte-containing clear fluids such as broths, or sports drinks on a regular basis.
Relief: comfrey has recognized dandruff fighting properties, it can be applied to the scalp as an oil or added to your shampoo.
6. Allergic reaction to food and/or shampoos
Relief: it can be very difficult identifying what foods your allergic too. As for shampoos, go for a Sulphate free shampoo and conditioner. These products don't have the harsh ingredients that cause excessive dryness. Some things to consider: It can be one of these causes or a combination of them that can result in Dry Itchy Hair and Scalp, but making small changes like switching to Sulphate-Free shampoos and conditioner, drinking more electrolyte-containing fluids, or taking a multivitamin can give you long lasting relief.

🔷️This was a box focused on hair care for treated hair and controlling brassiness post- bleach so we sent a sulphate-free (requested by Mei) herbal shampoo with matching conditioner by Ri-en,
🔷️ one of the trending items in Korea currently: colour hair treatments - basically like a treatment to condition the hair but with colour pigment to help maintain coloured hair or tint bleached hair for various fun looks .... and she asked for perhaps an essence so we gave 2 smaller emulsion/essence step items to try:
🔷️ #Sulwhasoo essential balancing emulsion
🔷️#primera organience emulsion -has *black rice extract, *mugwort, *black soybean sprout(antioxidant), *houttuynia cordata or Eoseungcho (the ingredient and namesake of #abybom cleansing balm and also an edible leaf vegetable), rosemary leaf oil, orange peel oil, brown algae, lavender oil and many more extracts.
🔷️primera black seed scalp relief treatment sample (soothes irritated scalp with aloe and jojoba oil to nourish) (our recent giveaway winner for the Troiareuke ACSEN cushion @yuerain happens to have a full review of this product on her blog page so if you are interested check it out!)
🔷️Ryo shampoo for oily scalp ( non- sulphate free but since we REALLY recommend this for oil control and nourishing benefits from a whole bundle of ginseng and other natural extracts we included a decant for Mei to try if she wants!) and 1 or 2 other little things
* Locally sourced in Korea and grown in farms free from pesticides as @primera.official is an eco-friendly and natural brand with some products being #ECOCERT certified .
