On this Sunday morning, I always try my best to reflect on the past week, and make personal goals for the upcoming one. We took the time each day to focus on our #lighttheworld challenges, prayed for ways to serve others or took to heart the message of the day. Some days have been grander gestures of service, and some have been more about personal reflection and how we can change to better serve others. I have to admit, some were a bit closer to my heart than I expected them to be. I have a lot to learn, and plenty of room to grow. But I feel like my heart is full because of the service we’ve been blessed to quietly show others this week, and the time we’ve taken to reflect on our choices and how we treat others. Whether it was a financial burden we’ve hoped to have lifted, or a heart we’ve tried to make lighter, I know we’ve been blessed for our willingness to at least try. As we head into this week, I pray we can all take a second to look around. Really look around. Start from there. Do what you can. And feel the love and strength that comes with every moment. #lighttheworld

“John’s Church” Matthew 21:23; 28-32
If you are going to ask God for change, your life has to change! You show how much something means to you, by what you are willing to give up to get it! You said you want to be like Jesus, well to be like Jesus is to be hated and crucified. You don’t really know who you are until people oppose you. Is it easier sometimes, to see what is wrong with other people, than it is to confront what is wrong with you. Do you want the reward, but are unwilling to do the work? Don't be one who seeks forgiveness, but won't give it to others! Relationships should have a place for repentance! Does your love have room for change? Love ALWAYS leaves the door open. You cannot have revival until you have repentance! Repentance brings revival! Jesus doesn't care what you SAY, He cares what you DO! John's Church is made up of people that said they weren't going to serve, but something got a hold of them & changed their hearts! There is something that God wants to do in your life, but He cannot do it at your current level of service! God wants you back! He is waiting on you!…Repent! For the kingdom of God is at hand!

As promised here is the recipe for are healthy pancakes we made last weekend.
For some the calorie content of this meal may be too high, so if we are looking to reduce this remove the ground almonds from the batter, saving 274 Cal per serving.
Prep time = 10 mins / Cook time = 10 mins/ make 2 portions
• 1 egg
• 100g ground almonds
• 200g whole meal flour
• 150ml full fat milk
• 1 handful raspberries
• 1 handful of blueberries
• 1 handful of almonds
• 1 handful of flaked almonds
• ½ a lemon
1. Pre-heat oven to 120 degrees
2. For the batter: Add the ground almonds and wholemeal four to a mixing bowl
3. Pour in the milk and add the egg.
4. Mix until a smooth batter is formed
5. Make the compote: add the berries and almonds to a food processor and blitz until smooth.
6. Place it into a microwaveable bowl and leave to sit while you make the pancakes
7. Heat a frying pan, add a table spoon of oil.
8. Once heated add 50g of butter and ladle the pancake batter in (1 ladle = 1 pancake)
9. Allow to cook until it no longer sticks to the pan (flip and repeat on the other side)
10. Place each completed pancake on a plate in the oven to keep warm while you make the rest of the pancakes.
11. Once all the pancakes are made, place the fruit compote in the microwave for 30 seconds.
12. To serve: spread the compote over the compote and top with a handful of ground almonds and a squeeze of lemon juice.
