The Ferrari 488GTB is a masterpiece in automotive engineering. It proudly carries the Prancing Horse emblem and aesthetically is an exquisitely designed car. Every single detail has been carefully looked at and is so beautifully designed.
Except for one very annoying feature which is the key-hole on the driver's side. I am not sure what the designer was thinking when he placed that anomaly in a flawless design.
Driving the Ferrari on open roads is an experience like no other. The responsiveness of the throttle to a depression of my right foot was rather immediate with absolutely no hint of turbo lag. Driving it in full auto or manual mode was great fun.
The engine sits right behind your head so you can hear every click and clank which is a real joy for a petrol head like me. That engine is a twin-turbocharged 3902cc V8 pushing out 661bhp and 560lb ft of torque.
Putting your foot down you can feel the power surge and the rapid revs build up to the 8500rpm red line in every gear. This mean machine pushes you in your seat as it accelerates to 100kph in 3.0 seconds dead and rather quickly to over 320kph (not that I got there, of course!).
Anyway, it's a marvellous car to drive and for those expecting me to do a straight comparison with the Z06 I own am sorry to disappoint. All I would say is I much prefer cars with 3 foot pedals and an actual gear stick that allows you a greater feel and control of your supercar. #ferrari#ferrari488gtb#supercarsindubai#dubai#dubailife#dubai_cars#dubailiving#dubailuxury
