It's 1am and you have to wake up early for tomorrow morning. Maybe you don't wanna miss the train/bus or be late for work. So you have to sleep early. But now, you stumbled upon my Post here which I am now going to devour this Prata Telur in a few seconds. But you just cannot do anything but read this and you have wasted 2mins of your life reading this.
Would you get up from your bed NOW and enjoy a DELICIOUS Prata Telur with FISH CURRY?
or just lay down there on your bed and regret because you cannot do anything... Jemput makan semua, bismillah~ 😉
Some of you may be wondering why I haven't posted any food pics in a while..... well I thought I'd take a moment to explain why I have not and also to explain just how justfoodandfamily got started.
On October 28, 2014 my brother Hollis Johnson was killed - he was only 36 years old. The police still have not caught the monster who killed him. A couple of months after my brother passed away our father Bradford Johnson was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer and had been fighting cancer for the past 2 1/2 years. Two weeks ago on Friday, August 4, 2017 my Dad lost his battle with cancer.
Initially I created justfoodandfamily as a way of coping with the loss of my brother, since cooking has always been something that helps me relax and is somewhat a stress reliever so to speak. Many years ago my Dad started sending/texting food pics to me and my brother of things that he cooked for dinner. We would call each other to find out what each of us would be cooking for Sunday dinner… We are all foodies and Sunday dinner is definitely a huge tradition in our family. Therefore, when my brother passed away my girlfriends encourage me to post my food pics to my own personal Facebook page. And after a while, my Dad and My Best Friend encouraged me to create justfoodandfamily. My Dad gave my brother and I a love of food and cooking. Food is one of the ways my Dad and I bonded, him showing me a new cooking technique, cooking together and sharing a good meal. Ever since I was little girl when I came home by myself or with a group of friends he would always say "y'all want something to eat?" and he would immediately make something fantastic!!! He also gave me a love and appreciation for flowers, old black and white movies, history and all types of music. So today I would like to officially dedicate justfoodandfamily (this page) to my Daddy, Bradford M. Johnson, for giving me this passion for food and cooking and enabling me to pass that same love onto my children. I miss him every minute of the day but I know how Blessed I am that he left us with a Beautiful Legacy that I am extremely Grateful for.
Thank you so very much for following justfoodandfamily.
