Today was a very special day! For the first time I brought my baby boy to see Santa 🎅🏻 . It was made even more special by having my best friend and her daughter with us. We of course made a visit to our old stomping ground, Bloch York St 💙💙💙
This picture signifies the long weeks of hormonal eating that began on day one of my med schedule 😳💁🏻. Once I got cleared for transfer - we just had to wait for my cycle to start. Which it did- just 2 weeks later. On day two- I did my first injection of E2V - which is estradiol (estrogen) aka LIQUID TEARS. the shots themselves are like no big deal. But the instant hormonal shift is hilariously turbulent. I'd be shoving a chocolate in one minute- sobbing into a bag of chips the next. Enter puffy face, weight gain, crippling insomnia, and mood swings the likes of which I've never known! Gabe and the kids took cover and i went on leave of absence from my main duties - and have basically stayed that way until like last week 😂🤷🏻♀️. Once starting E2V, we got a transfer date! and about a week before transfer I started the dreaded PIO shots (progesterone in oil) . Those were nightly - so that meant that every third day I did both shots 😳😭. The day after double shot night was always hard. I stayed on house arrest and hibernated like a honey badger with rabies. I kept the Indian food flowing and was a run on sentence of whining to my friends who deserve gold medals for hearing me say over and over again "I feel so crazy!" . To see the glorious fed ex shipment of all the many drugs they sent me- scroll to the very bottom of this feed to like the second or third post! There they be in all their glory! Thankfully- transfer day crept up really quickly and it made the meds feel tolerable to have a purpose behind them. Now if you're reading this and maybe considering being a surrogate and I just scared you off completely- hang on! The whole medication regiment is only continued through week 10. So although hideous- it's quick! And honestly , once morning sickness sets in you won't even notice the raging PMS symptoms from the hormones. You'll be puking into a paper cup in the car worrying about keeping the vomit out of your hair for after school pick up! so take heart! ❤️🙌🏻💁🏻 #surrogacy#gestationalcarrier#hormonaleating#taylorswiftsmile#hidesallthepain
I attended the Families through surrogacy event this evening in Dublin. It was lovely to get to talk with so many people and share our experience. Looking forward to the next one. #surrogacy#ivf#ivfjourney#surrogacyjourney
<3 👨👩👧👧 #barrigadealuguel#familia#family#gestacaoporsubstituicao#rainbowfamily#subrogacion#surrogacy#tammuz
Hello! We’ll be updating the Hunt for Wanderlust FB page a bit this week as the ‘real’ surrogacy ball gets rolling as we ready our application for ECART.
Here is a very excited and chatty Henry spending time with Cheree after picking her up at the airport this afternoon. It’s the first time he’s met Cheree and it’s fair to say he’s a fan 👏🏼#surrogacy#surrogate#gestationalcarrier#gestationalsurrogate#ivf#hysterectomy
In today’s modern, fast paced society, it is easy for people to become stressed and we all know that stress does not add value to our overall well-being and definitely has a huge impact on your fertility.
Chronic stress may cause lack of libido as well as a decrease in general fertility: Stress Induced Reproductive Dysfunction (SIRD). It is very important to find ways you can avoid being stressed, most especially if you have been trying to conceive with no results. .
Studies have shown that stress relief should be a part of every couples conception plan even if they are going through IVF. .
Do you find yourself in stressful situations often perhaps at work or home, work on it. .
At least, it will be one more thing out of your way of getting pregnant.
