Flashback to this paperweight my daughter made for me when she was in kindergarten (?). It's still on duty in my "inbox" but I don't see much mail or even paper these days! Love you pumpkin! #green#sustainable#repurposedrock
The light and airy Wingspan Scarf is the perfect in-between seasons piece. Throw it on over your favorite shirt or stash it in your bag until the sun goes down and you need an extra layer. #noondaystyle (Link to shop in bio!)
(Shameless "my fiancé is the best" post) So I've been seeing a lot of posts about weddings in the vegan FB groups I'm in lately, how the friends and family of some of the vegan brides will freak out or generally be rude when she mentions the food will be vegan or plant based.............................................
First of all- it's literally one meal on one day. No one eats meat for every single meal of every single day, so calm down meat eaters and give your heart a rest 😂 (sorry).. Secondly and most importantly, I told Michael I did not want meat at our wedding today and was SO prepared for some big argument and let down, had all of my facts, opinions, and compromises lined up... and he looks at me and smiles and simply says "that's fine."..................... That was it! I was sort of surprised but then again this is why I'm marrying this man. I've never met anyone who's grown to be so open, giving, loving, down to earth, and patient. Of course if it had been important to him I would have compromised.. but the point is that he never even considered making me compromise my beliefs for our wedding day. There was no question for him. If you're cool with eating delicious veggie food and making the bride happy for one day (and trust me it's usually a foodie paradise because it's our one opportunity to show off how completely amazing meat-less food can be) then comment below!❤️
I see you...check out this hand-painted scarf by @katyalfp Coming to the site soon! Keep an eye out (pun intended 😁) or sign up for the newsletter on the site to be the first to know when it hits the store!
Who needs store bought lunch meat, tofu, tempeh, or veggie patties? All that stuff comes packed in plastic, which will be around longer than we will. Even when we travel, I can peel and pan fry up some eggplant for a hearty veggie sandwich. This one has eggplant, avocado, cucumber, sun-dried tomato and mustard on fresh bread with sliced apples on the side. None of which came with plastic packaging. Zero waste isn't about depriving yourself. Most often, my life has been improved by my choice to avoid packaging and lessen the amount of trash I make. The proof is in the sandwich.
There are far too many highlights to choose from Send a Cow’s 29 years! But one has to be when our President, His Royal Highness, The Prince of Wales, visited our head office in Newton St Loe, Bath last year. The Prince took the time to meet our African Country Directors as well as Trustees from the UK, US and Germany. It was fantastic to meet His Royal Highness and hear such positivity from him; “I do congratulate you on all your work, it’s very important to keep smallholders going. It’s vital.”

Representation Matters in Sustainability: @baguette_and_butter 🍇
My name is Amanda McLemore. Like the Lorax speaks for the trees, well I speak for the food. From seed to shelf my mission is to clarify the basics, taking the processed out of the process.
I am a city dweller in Chicago, IL. I am a chef and writer for Baguette and Butter, a website that tells the story of my journey to create a sustainable American food culture and community through my kitchen, garden, and simple life skills.
I want to revive strong communities by strengthening them through the food system. The city needs its neighbors to maintain its customs and culture. I as well want all income families to be able to learn and pass down the knowledge that food can be grown in a community.
By following my IG I want people to challenge their current habits and rituals to bring this American food culture to their community. Start a garden. Practice cooking skills. Share the table with your neighbors.
I want to inspire and teach people to care for their food, home, and community.
I am loving these bowl covers designed and hand crafted by @theedgymoose! Thanks for sending these along. There are always #reusable alternatives to our #disposable habits like using tinfoil and plastic wrap. The Edgy Moose offers beeswax bowl covers too. 🌿💚#mindfullysustainabletips
Progress! ... 😮There is a quote I send to my clients EVERY time they ask me how to stay motivated. After a long talk, it really just boils down to one thing...
... "Do it! And THEN you will be motivated."
... 🤠Motivation doesn't just come. Well, I guess it comes for 2 days but because, in those 2 days, we haven't seen a miracle happen, we give up. ... 🤛Obviously progress takes time but how can you stay motivated if you keep giving up? ... 🛑 Stop looking in the mirror and picking at your body. Get out of the shower, wrap yourself up, then be INCREDIBLY shocked and happy that you kept working your butt off and now your jeans fit 😃You stayed motivated because you jus kept DOING IT!
Heh friends! Have you recently moved to the country? Perhaps you live in the suburbs now and dream about keeping a herd of goats. Send me your questions!
I am putting together a list for a future project and I am looking for queries, burning questions, and things you might not think of about making the move to rural living. Whether you seek the simple life or you want your own small farm, what are your unanswered questions about farm life?
Send me a message or contact me through my website - link in the profile. Thank you!
We're so pleased that, through a purchase of a #sustainable recycling unit from DeepStream Designs, and in partnership with @treesforthefuture, 100 #trees will be planted in Africa on behalf of @uhoustonlib.

Agnes Pokuaa, 40 years old, is a mother of three and has been a pepper farmer for 5 years.
Agnes contributes to the upkeep of her home through her farming practice but over the years has been recording low yields.
This year, the @europeancommission funded Sustainable Livelihoods and Transparent Local Authorities (SLATLA) project embarked on a sensitisation workshop in her community; the Koduakrom community in the Sunyani West District of the Brong Ahafo region.
Because of the trainings, Agnes now understands and is able to use some basic farming methods which, she says, has helped her to economically improve her livelihood. “For me, I am very happy about this because I want to make the lives of my children better’’. The Sustainable Livelihoods and Transparent Local Authorities (SLATLA) project is a three-and-a-half year project that seeks to contribute to the promotion and growth of the informal local economy in the Sunyani West District Assembly (SWDA) in the Brong-Ahafo and the La-Nkwantanang-Madina Municipal Assembly (LaNMMA) in the Greater Accra region of Ghana.
The two Assemblies will be co-funding 15% of the project amount, and 85% by the European Union in Ghana through the European Commission.
This hostel is a little bit funny - they separate the waste on one side of the breakfast room and on the other side you can only use plastic dishes. Imagine how mach plastic that is for a whole year just from this hostel!
