Dirt movement slow mo 🤙🏻by @johnstagram307 a.k.a NSW dirt dog.

My mom created this living flower arrangement out of flowers from her garden, it was right by where local CSA members picked up all summer! It was beautiful, plus so many other updates she did to the flower gardens. Can't wait for spring already for it all to start coming back to life! She has been amazing to have on the farm 🙏🏼❤️
I buried my first biodynamic horn in our gardens today 😄 it's filled with cow manure that a group of us collectively stirred with compost starter for an hour. True story! I will dig it up early next fall, mix the finished contents with water, and spray on our garden soils.
Great American Farm Tour meet up happening now at Primal Pastures! Thanks @abundantpermaculture and @primalpastures for great hospitality and tasty food. We’re inspired by all the great work you’re all putting out and sharing with the world. 🌎 ☮️
Quick and easy potato leek soup. Lots of fresh organic leeks, 7 or 8 medium potatoes, veggie broth, cream or coconut milk, salt and pepper. Topped with créme fraiche and smoked sardine. This dish inspired by café faire in #Gothenburg#Sweden .
Also at the Homestead farmstand today - likely our last flower bouquet of the season 😟 I am a little sad to see them come to an end, but the gardens have been such a gift this year. I can't begrudge them for wanting to rest 💚
Who’s checking out the leaves? When they change color, before they fall, Mother Nature is sending us a better health tip: get your systems ready for winter! She’s saying bluntly, I will give you some time but I ain’t gonna wait forever.

Mi familia cafetalera en Franca! Muchas gracias ❤️
PS. Check out their farm, @cafe_minamihara. It’s a model for shade grown, organic coffee! The symbiotic relationship between the coffee and avocado trees make up one of the coolest farms I’ve been to.
We want to THANK YOU for following us on our journey! So far we have had lots of great feedback and it's much appreciated 🙏🏻 as the cannabis industry pushes forward, Sustainable Plant Solutions will continue to help farmers become efficient and sustainable without sacrificing quality. We are here to help you dial in your program with science, data and research behind us 🌱💪🏻
We've come a long way in a short amount of time! Check out the progress on the barn in only a few months. We're looking forward to hosting additional art shows, events and workshops in the barn for years to come.
This past week we visited one of our farming inspirations Mark Shepard who gave us a tour of his farm -New Forest Farm in Wisconsin. This farm shares a lot of similarities of what we hope for Jubilee Forest Farm in 20 years.
They converted a typical row-crop grain farm into a commercial scale, perennial agriculture ecosystem -trees, shrubs, vines, canes, perennial plants and fungi planted in association with one another to produce food, fuel, medicines and beauty. Hazelnuts, chestnuts, walnuts, apples and elderberries are their primary woody crops and are planted along a keyline - inspired water management pattern. Between the tree crops they grow annual vegetables or the grassy alleys are often grazed by cows, pigs, turkeys and chickens.
We are now two years into setting up our farm working sun up to sundown and what a treat it was to see what it could be like 20 years from now 😊
Looking for fair trade bananas? 🍌 Now they’re 49¢ per lb at Whole Foods. The organic and fair trade ones are a little bit more (swipe to see the price). I know I’m not saving the world buying these bananas but I’m using my consumer power 💪🏽 to let businesses know what I value. •
Look what happened at The Food Initiative today! Thanks to the volunteers from @graceclarksville for working so hard and helping us accomplish so much with #allforthecity . You guys are awesome! .
Hello, I have been running this account all season with the intention to switch it over to our new farm business once we finalized more details to provide to our community! The time has finally come and I am so excited to keep providing delicious veggies for everyone and working with the land in a sustainable and positive way. We have so many plans in store for the future, and we will keep you updated about them all. This past season has been great farming with Ammie and Greg, farm workers, members, volunteers, family, and friends. I am lucky to call this area where the farm is located my original home, growing up closeby, when we found the opportunity to take over this farmland it was as though the stars had aligned bringing me back closer to my family! Thank you to everyone, especially our CSA members for your support of the farm, we are looking forward to providing a really special place you can connect with your food and the land. #womenwhofarm
It has been a long time in the works but Peacework Farm is closing and transitioning into retirement, and the owners/operators Ammie and Greg are passing along the farmland and CSA to Full Lotus Farm to continue providing vegetables for CSA members for years to come! We have already been growing and providing vegetables for the CSA shares and members for the entire 2017 season, and it has been great getting to meet and talk with many local and Rochester members. We are excited for what the future holds! •••
Full Lotus Farm is dedicated to using Permaculture No-till practices, which are highly sustainable and beneficial to the environment allowing us to continue to give back to the land in a positive way. Thanks to the Genesee Land Trust the farm land has already been preserved and protected from development for many years. We are looking forward to the 2018 season and beyond, growing and providing quality vegetables for your CSA shares. We have positive changes coming, including more options for CSA pick up (or delivery), decreased share pricing, on-farm workshops / community events, and more. •••
Thank you to all farm CSA members for your continued support! We have officially launched our website if you are interested in more details about us and what we plan on doing!
