Ok so my front camera is still all grainy...but I don't care because 5km this morning pain free! I think I just might be able to make it to the race on Saturday! 🎉 you never know, a couple of days off my have been exactly what I needed! Fingers crossed 🤞 everything stays feeling good until Saturday! 🏁
🍌1 Ingredient Ice Cream🍌
A bunch of bananas
1. Peel & slice the bananas.
2. Freeze the bananas for at least a few hours. (If you're using them right away, you can freeze them on a cookie sheet. If not, freeze them in a covered, freezer safe container.)
3. When ready to use, chisel the solid chunk of frozen banana slices into a few pieces (if necessary), & throw it all in your food processor.
4. Pulse a few times to separate all the clumps, & process until creamy, stopping a few times to scrape the sides down with a spatula.
5. Add any extra ingredients in such as dark chocolate chips, nuts, berries, unsweetened shredded coconut flakes, etc., if desired. You can eat it right away (It will be very creamy & custard like.), or you can throw it in the freezer, & let it harden up a bit.

Hit the gym! Did you know that night workouts are more productive than morning workouts? wait, what?! Recently we have been adding night workouts to the plan to see if I can kick this plateau. Since I am not a morning eater, my morning workouts are just sub par, with my low energy. But I get in the gym at night after having carbs and protein all day and I see a HUGE energy difference! I am so much stronger at night! I saw @popsugarfitness
share some night workout info on their stories and felt compelled to share that my experience mimics their findings too! I am adding in night workouts 3x a week to see if the muscle growth results and fat burning goes up! I will keep you informed over the month!

Having this little lady in my life the last 19 months has changed me in many ways, probably the biggest one being that my faith has deepened and I guess I just take it more seriously than I used to. It's not all about me anymore. Letting go of my plans for her and my own every day has taken on a new meaning. Even running is not #1 , even though it does give me a moment to reflect and be alone, and I'm thankful for that gift. This little book I'm holding is a tool that weaves all of those aspects together-a training journal that helps me draw near to the One who makes it all possible. I LOVE smoothies with: -an individual container of Greek yogurt
~1 cup frozen berries
-a handful of spinach
-a sprinkle of peanut butter powder-and finally ~1-2T rolled oats.
-enough milk to reach desired thinness
Rolled oats are a great way to thicken up your smoothie, promote heart & bowel health all without adding a strong flavor.

Workin' that overhead squat 🏋🏽♀️ This is my least favorite lift 😫 but felt strong today with 20# bar. I could feel that I wasn't putting all my weight in my heels, however the bar was being held tight with strong shoulders and good form up top, so I'll take it!

Hump Day, but also basically FriYAY in terms of the school week. T'was a good day. Not gonna lie last night I was up wayyy to late studying and working on homework, but today I got through my tests, it was leg day🏋🏼♀️in Strength and Conditioning (the BEST class to take as a buffer for all the APs - gets me hype before calc yasss😆🤘🏼), I rocked a tempo🏃🏼♀️workout at practice, had girl time with my main XC homies (yes I'm using this word jokingly😂), and now I'm ending the evening off with THIS BEAUTY😳🙌🏼💕. A Banana🍌@simplemills Muffin (@alterecosf 85% Dark Chocolate🍫chunks added), Salted Caramel @nadamoo🍦, and drippy @crazyrichardspb🍯. Okay but actually also gonna stretch+foam roll because oh my QUAD are my legs about to be sore tomorrow😅👌🏼. Goodnight all you gorgeous gals and guys😉🤗!!

My last Lean Body boot camp of the year ended last week, and I've been on high 🙌🏼🙌🏼 reading my clients' testimonials. What a great group of dedicated women to end this year of LBB's with ❤️
I am very impressed with my client, Carrie's 6 week progress. She down more than 11 inches, decreased BF%, and down 13 lbs. In addition to her physical progress, she has made some serious strength gains, and her running speed has improved 💪🏼

Even if you're nervous to get started, consistency, hard work, and the belief that you CAN and will do this - pays off.
Getting back to normal after TWO WEEKS of rest & recovery from vacation at the beginning of the month. I'm traveling for work, but resuming my normal workout routine and nutrition habits. I definitely added a little extra "fluff" on vacation -- and enjoyed every minute.
How do I get back on track? Here are a few tips:
1. Daily movement -- might be as little as walking on rest day, strength training 3-4 x per week, or running.
2. Focus on veggies. LOTS of veggies!! This can be harder on the road, so I travel with my favorite greens powder to increase my daily intake.
3. Consistent daily supplements to fill in the gaps & increase energy in my body -- my favorite multi, omega 3, & cellular complex twice a day. Plus a probiotics + digestive enzyme.
4. SLEEP!! Often overlooked, but I schedule 8+ hours of sleep each night.
5. Eat only until 80% full -- this helps easily reduce your intake just enough to help move things in the right direction. Even in the road!

This was a very tough run for me!! Not really sure why I'm smiling here, but thankfully I am.
Today my legs felt super heavy! Even though my pace should have been easy, this felt like I was running a tempo.
I'm going to let this run go and start looking forward to the next one!!
