Cheered me up on a dreary grey day whilst hobbling around with a box of tissues that hasn't left my side in 3 weeks due to this wretched lurgy! Nutty chocolate bites 🌿
- 180g pitted dates, soaked in hot water for 20 minutes, then drained
- 3 tbsp chopped hazelnuts
- 2 1/2 tbsp cacao powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract - 2 tbsp almonds
- 1 1/2 tbsp unsalted peanut butter - 1 tbsp coconut oil
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
Blend all of the ingredients in a food processor until it combines to forms a soft sticky dough. Add some water if the mixture is too dry. Decorate with desiccated coconut, chopped hazelnuts, cacao powder or melted dark chocolate. Chill in the fridge for 20 minutes and enjoy!
We're experimenting in the lab again. This time we took a different twist to our original experiment by marbleizing the white chocolate with red. You can see examples with and without.
Both are made with Belgian white chocolate, with a date, almond, walnut and pistachio centre - with hints of orange blossom... cuz we're fancy.
