Tiramisu is always a hit and everyone seems to have there own version. I can't say I've ever had one I didn't like, mind you, some more than others yet always a treat. Made these a little extra special for our cousins who came from Italy this summer.
Hope it's a great week for you so far !
I've been running errands so I didn't have to time post this after lunch, but I finally made it to @milkandhoney2. Two of my dear friends treated me. Everything was #yummyinmytummy . Those dang on #strawberryshortcake deep fried biscuits left me speechless! Who would think to fry a biscuit, & put strawberries & sauce on top? I'm not even sure it was a biscuit. It reminded me of a biscuit, funnel cake, & beignet all mixed together. I had those as an appetizer. I ordered the #crabhash , which was quite tasty & cheesy with plenty of hash browns underneath. My favorite was the award winning #shrimpandgrits . It deserves every award it won. The grits were rich and creamy, the sauce was flavorful, & I like that they used turkey sausage instead of pork or beef sausage. Of course I couldn't leave without dessert, and all I wanted was a @prissysweetcake #bananapudding cupcake. It tasted like there was banana pudding mixed into the batter. Omg, I think one as a cake for my birthday. I can't wait to try some more of their treats. Ok, that was fun. Now, back to my strict eating plan because I have one more goal to accomplish. #itwasfunwhileitlasted#starryeats#milkandhoneycafe
Here they are, friends! ☺️💛 My special contribution to #gbbo caramel week - Millionaire Shortbread, Healthy Lovely Living style 🌟 My lovely Mr K gave them a 9.7 out of 10, so you know they must be good 😍
These delicious morsels contain absolutely NO grains, gluten, dairy, soy or refined sugar, and I am extremely excited with how they turned out. The shortbread is 'tight' and soft, a little crumbly but holds together well. The caramel, oh my word.....the caramel is smooth, thick, sweet and little salty; basically paradise in creamy liquid form! And this chocolate is the perfect balance of bitter and sweet, made with raw cacao and vanilla beans for an added punch of flavour.
As you can see, the caramel layer was still slightly drippy at this point, but we were too impatient to wait any longer before eating them! They are now sliced up and have been back in the fridge for an extra hour, so the caramel is firm; it has set perfectly.
These shortbreads, despite not containing any refined sugars, are still delightfully sweet - I used organic maple syrup in the shortbread layer, coconut sugar in the caramel layer, and raw honey in the chocolate layer, which is a lot of sweetness by anybody's standards! So I wouldn't recommend eating them every day, but, for a special treat they really do hit the spot. If you're going to indulge in a little something sweet now and again, I would always recommend going for a raw, natural source over anything else. And just own it! None of this guilt and shame nonsense. Always bake your treats with love and happiness, eat them with enjoyment, and love your body by nourishing it with a little natural sweetness every now and again - if your body responds well to it, there's no need to feel bad about it. Treats are to be enjoyed! 💕
Who says eating healthily means you have to miss out? Not me!! 😍💛
Around here, we love vanilla, chocolate and strawberry equally. So, we give this Neapolitan Zebra Bundt Cake a big 👍 thumbs up! ❤ if you agree. To find the recipe, click the link in our bio. 📸: @allthatsleftarethecrumbs
Had to check out @_nakeddough while I'm in London this week! Anything involving raw cookie dough is on my to-try list. 😜The flavors I chose were emoji poos and unicorn food and they were everything I dreamed of! 🍪🦄💫
