Still reminiscing the meal I had at @firedoor_surryhills 🔥 This was the wagyu chuck with romesco and smoked potatoes. No tricks, no gimmicks; just quality Australian beef, an open flame, and a chef with skills. 🙌🏼

Highlands Cheddar, Green Apple, Raw Honey & Black Pepper ($5) as a pre-dinner drink snack at @sillytartkitchen. Nice to be back at this warm-hearted spot. They’re trying to get a bar hopping, live music culture back into Kings Cross after Mike Baird gutted it & @gladysberejiklian did nothing to fix it.

House Bar, on the ground floor, is a cheerful, relaxed space where you can choose from a mix of 50 beers, a rosé-led wine list and a lively range of cocktails – perfect for summer afternoons in the lush outdoor terrace.
One level up, the 180-seater restaurant Bea showcases the best hand-picked produce from Australia’s seasonal bounty, with the dining menu complemented by a constantly-evolving ‘feed me’ experience.
On the rooftop, Smoke has everything you would want from a cocktail bar: harbour and city views, imaginative tasting plates, a diverse music program, and of course – a surprising mix of unique cocktails, many of which include subtle references to the bar’s name.
Acclaimed chef Cory Campbell (ex-Noma and Vue de Monde) heads up the kitchens across all three levels, with a focus on ‘fun dining’ rather than ‘fine dining’ – a perfect fit for the neighbourhood.
