This is from the antique shop Trading post, in kalkbay. There are soooo many things to photograph in this shop. My mom and I ended up just asking the guy if we could do a mini shoot and just move things around, it was sooo rad! Walked out with some of the coolest shots!
Here I caught my mom in a room full of records, just staring at Tina!
Today was the best day I've ever had in the mountains and I also want to call it now that no future mountain experience will top this one because I don't know how it could. Witnessing the total solar eclipse from Table Mountain in Wyoming was an experience I will forever cherish and hold close to my heart. I cried the entire two minutes of totality. The 360 degree "sunset/sunrise" was phenomenal. The sun's corona was bright, but yet it wasn't. The sky behind the sun and moon was a weird shade of purple/blue that I've never seen before. It was freaking cool.
I didn't watch it right from the summit because 1) I didn't think I'd make it in time. I could already see the sun was 50% covered and I really didn't want to still be hiking when totality started (I ended up only being 20 mins away but didn't know that) and 2) There were so many people up there (202 people and 7 dogs so I was told once I reached the summit later on). I stopped short of the summit and found a large rock the size of a bed to sit/lay on and I watched the eclipse alone. I could still hear the cheering and conversations of the people on the summit. I didn't mind. We were all here to experience something amazing and I did not care how many people would be on that mountain today.
The hike itself was also spectacular and a strong recommend on a normal day. Most elevation gain on a hike to date for me at just over 1200m. 😰 IG story and more pictures to come. ❤️
I don't know what it is about this picture. I took it over a year ago, while in a moving car, with a Samsung Galaxy S5. I wasn't even trying to get a perfect shot, i was just taking photos of random things around me... but i think this one came out pretty okay. 🖒
📌 Restaurantes do Waterfront
📌 Jardim botânico Kirstenbosch
📌 Boo Kap, o bairro das casinhas coloridas
I had the privilege of visiting Robben Island on Nelson Mandela International Day. The island is 7kms off the coast of Cape Town. Nelson Mandela was imprisoned here for 18 of the 27 years he served. This view of Table Mountain has the beginnings of the famous tablecloth cloud formation that sometimes covers the mountain.
Having a good chat to a Legend..A wise man .Boeta Noor Meyer.. spent many hours exploring with him #TableMountain .. May Allah in his mercy grant him rest , may his grave be an abode of light nd not darkness. ... May Allah grant his soul eternal peace, ameen
