The corners of this little town are starting to grow on me. My new bud Luis (pictured receiving his tacos) took me to the street markets today where I bought a ceramic bowl and tortillas and habanero peppers to bring home and where we inhaled sopes and hibiscus aqua fresca, followed by this taco stand for some carnitas. So simple and so perfect. And I finally saw the ocean via a muddy camina secreta past fields of thatch-roof huts to the locals' beach. No other gringas in sight. 🙏 I have maybe never sweated so much in my life as I have the last 3 days but I feel like I'm earning all the goodness that's coming my way. If you really want to see the world, and not just another pool/beach, leave the resorts, take chances, meet people, feel alive. ❤️
