We haven't ordered pizza in forever, they never add as many veggies as I like, plus we always eat WAY too much, feel like crap and it's costs a lot! These pictures tell a lot about our family... and honestly brings me to tears. On the right was taken today (our last full day of vacation) and the one to the left just one year ago. I can still remember feeling trapped, helpless, exhausted, ashamed and with #onesimplechange at a time, we changed the trajectory of our health over the course of this year. I can't even describe how full my heart is that we have our health as an entire family and are truly experiencing life in ways I never thought possible. I am so thankful to the Lord for His leading through everything and for the amazing life experiences He provides everyday for us to love and serve others. There are so many things that we are now able to say YES to because we have changed our story. Please don't wait to make positive changes for your health, do it today... for you and for future generations - because whether you like it or not, they are watching everything you do.

I took a few weeks off because of traveling and pure laziness😆 Some things I have learned to avoid muscle soreness and injury are to make sure you stretch really well after a run, hang your ankles off of a step to avoid shin splints, and consume tons of fruits and veggies to combat all the oxidative stress that your body releases after excercising. I just rapped up my fourth summer shred yesterday and I'm feeling AMAZING!! It is so freaking crazy how focusing on eating whole foods can really make a difference.
Some of you may wonder why do you Shred Paige, your small you don't need to loss any weight. Your right I don't, the reason I she is to jump start every month by really focusing on me and my health. I eliminate some of my not so healthy ones and really focus on some healthier ones. What does that look like?
I make getting plenty of sleep a priority and my water intake up along with some other things. One of the biggest things I notice as I'm shredding is really having the energy to get through the day and a clear mind. My workout recovery is faster and my sinuses clear up because of inflation being reduced.
Here's to a good rest of the month of living it out and pretty much staying shred friendly till September shred!

🍇 Fact: Protein deficiency in America is basically unheard of. A study done on people following plant based diets showed that on average, they get 70% more protein than what they actually need everyday. •
🍌 Fact: When you buy plant protein, you get a "Buy one, get these free" special with antioxidants, fiber, vitamins, minerals and phyto-chemicals ☺️
🍒 Fact: When you buy animal protein, it comes with not so fancy "gifts with purchase" like saturated fat, cholesterol, added hormones, antibiotics, parasites and carcinogens which all feed disease 👎🏼
🍊 Fact: We need to eat foods that supply us with the 9 essential amino acids that our bodies can’t make on their own. Some plant based foods have all of them (quinoa, buckwheat, soy, chia and hempseed) while others have a mix of some and not others.
