My version of Paleo Asian Cabbage Salad. I used what I have at home regular raw cabbage (not a Savoy cabbage and didn’t sauté it either) left over black rice, yellow and red peppers, tomatoes, avocado and green onions and topped with egg over easy. The dressing was really perfect for it.
Dressing: 3T rice vinegar, 2T sesame oil, 2T coconut aminos and 1t grated ginger. iheartumami.com
I have gotten into the habit of a morning ritual and an evening ritual. I’m loving it! My evening ritual consists of yoga (which formerly was my morning ritual) and a gratitude journal. This is an old flow Friday I created a year ago today. Now I know what you're thinking - "John you crazy, being in the snow in shorts 'n' shit." But what if I told you the cold is one of the best elements for burning fat? ....ahhh now I have your attention 😉. •
Researchers at UC Berkeley found that exposure to cold temperatures increases levels of a newly discovered protein that is critical for the formation of brown fat, the type of fat in our bodies that generates heat. With extended exposure to chilly air, the protein, called transcription factor Zfp516, also helps the more abundant white fat in our bodies – the kind that stores excess energy – become more similar to brown fat in its ability to burn energy.
Simply put, when exposed to the cold the body has a way of generating heat that burns fat. It's an interesting topic that I recommend you research when you get the opportunity😊👌.

Just had one of those moments again. Being healthy isn’t complicated. Not that long ago I was more than unhealthy. I was lost. I was 210lbs. I was depressed. I was riddled with anxiety. I had no hope for any sort of brightness. One day I decided to make a change. A very simple one. That day changed my life. It’s not always about losing weight. For me it has been more than that. It’s been about feeling and being my best. It’s been about having energy. Having a stronger immune system. It’s been about keeping ahead of life. Living life successfully. About stressing less. I’ve become a better Mom. A better wife and a better human being. So grateful for the life I now lead. It’s the one I’ve chosen. It’s the one I’m excited about every single day. It’s the one I’m excited about for the future!

The choices stink and the prices are outrageos🤑🤑🤑 but we have no choice , right ? WRONG! Your choice is to stay healthy 🍏🍎🍐🍊🍋🍈🍓🍇🍉🍌🍒🍑🍍🥝🥑🌽🥕🥒🍆🍅..... i'm not suggesting not to have insurance 🙅🏻You have to 😐I'm recommending make effective changes to your well care routine so as not to get stuck paying out on your deductibles, your co-pays, prescription meds for yourself and your kids and unforeseen medical and sick care cost$$$$. Here's the racket... to quote my health insurance agent ..."Premiums were determined by August and the insurers had to calculate that if the ACA is overturned, that many fewer people would be insured leaving more people with illness, so they raised the premiums!" I can think of much better ways to spend my hard earned $$$ than lining the pockets of corporate insurance robots 😡 #JuicePlus is my families real #healthinsurance .
