i started my "do a puzzle" challenge today! this is a list item i won't finish within the day but will give updates at the end of october: open mind & heart!
i have had this puzzle for at least 5 years. i hadn't even opened the box! there are such rich colors and 1000 very difficult pieces to work with here :) i started making a little progress after sorting out like colors/designs and edge pieces. will definitely keep working on this in my spare time!
i just love jigsaw puzzles, word puzzles, logic problems... but it has been a long while since i sat down and enjoyed them. looking forward to having this puzzle to fill in some spare or bored moments!

I don't know about you but I want to be present in my life and my family's life. I don't want my mind to take me places or hold me back. This past year I started reading or listening to personal development books and videos. The book I'm listening to right now is completely changing the way I think and get things done.
I've come to realize if you're not working to improve yourself where do you expect your life to go? Why do we not spend more time focusing on ourselves and growing as individuals? The more you grow as an individual the more time you can give your family and the more present you will be in life.
What others think a "coach" does:
✖eat gourmet vegetables for every meal
✖️meal prep like a wizard ✖workout all day
✖play on fb
✖️attached to their phone ✖left to figure out this business alone
What actually happens: ❤use dry shampoo for the days in a row
❤drink natural pre-workout
❤read or listen to personal development ❤post something positive ❤workout with my daughter climbing on me
❤drink my shake ❤meet a new friend
❤high five my challenge group
❤make sure my toddler & husband have something healthy to eat ❤️connect with the amazing women on my team going through the same struggles as me

i am looking over the remaining possibilities for daily challenges this month (see link in bio for the full list). so many interesting choices and i feel great knowing i have completed many fun, difficult, mindful, relaxing, thought-provoking and/or de-stressing tasks so far!
anxiety and depression have really kept me from things i enjoy and trying new things i want to accomplish. this project is really encouraging me to push through the kinds of thoughts and feelings that make me feel like i cannot do stuff and instead open new doors to improving my confidence. i really feel like i have gotten re-acquainted with some parts of my interests and happiness. also i am doing challenges that allow me to pause and think outside of myself and start viewing the world around me and extending kindness to others.
in the midst of this month's challenges i started exercising, eating better, and drinking more water. i have days where these challenges feel hard! who knew i'd take this further and start repairing other aspects of my life? i didn't even know i'd feel like tackling my physical health yet. i just feel really good and it's a great time!
this challenge is not perfect, but it's a start. i am anxious a lot and this won't cure me :) but it's given me good focus and purpose. this project has shown me that i truly am my own best friend and advocate. i wouldn't have tried this challenge or made it this far if others told me to do it. i had to really put the pieces together myself.
and literally i am going to put the pieces together myself today by doing the challenge where i work on a puzzle! it's been awhile! and i have a puzzle i haven't opened that has been sitting in my closet for years! #octoberopenmindheart

For me it’s time spent at the beach, running, reading and being outside in nature within the fresh air - these are all the simple things that I do regularly to make myself smile.
We’re all busy and often life gets hectic with projects, work, tasks and social events but it’s so important to take time to allow yourself to rest, rejuvenate and have fun! Your body is your vessel in life so make sure you treat it kindly!
What are you doing each day to show appreciation to yourself?
Take note of how often you allow rest? How often do you take time to do the things that light you up? Are you taking note of what you’re feeding your body? Is your body getting the nourishment it deserves?
We all demand so much of our bodies, we are constantly asking it to work hard, to accomplish all of our dreams, goals and desires but are you filling it with the right fuels to do so?
Compliments, nutrition, exercise, rest, excitement, laughs, connections, learnings and most importantly love 💕 - you should always be filling your own cup first!

What is it that needs to come out? What is it that I need to know? Need to heal? If nothing comes up just write out " it is... it is... it is... today i took some time to work on the following item on my challenge list: "research a new hobby/try it out." i decided to spend more time reading up on tarot and specifically this deck i bought several months ago, the wild wood tarot.
i purchased the app version of this deck. having no prior experience with tarot, i was very intrigued with the descriptions and explanations preparing for and during the reading. the physical deck is so stunning in its illustrations. the accompanying booklet has so much detail. while i couldn't read through it all today, i am so drawn in by tarot now and plan to learn a bit more throughout the week. i'd like to get more fluency before i do an actual reading.
i didn't even know there were different styles of laying the cards out during a reading. also this deck offers some additional layouts specific to the wild wood tarot. i guess there are a lot of assumptions and stereotypes about tarot and readings. it is nice to read further and explore more about not just the card meanings but how tarot decks in general align very purposefully with astrophysical, cultural, natural and other realms.
looking forward to continuing my education with tarot. curious to read more about the history and origins of tarot as well!

Important read after today’s WW meeting. We talked about giving ourselves permission to be selfish. That may sound like a hard thing to do because we are taught that “selfish” is such a negative word. But replace it with “self-care” and think about why you need to take care of yourself and before you know it you’ll have convinced yourself that it’s okay, maybe even necessary!
Back to a regular practice today, took 2 1/2 weeks off to travel home for a family Vaca, it felt good to stretch.. My body definitely changed shape, I lost some flexibility & put on a few lbs from all the good food & Halloween candy. I had to tell myself I’m human & not perfect, life happens, it’s ok, it’s not the end of the world. I’m still learning not to be so hard on myself. I know my yoga practice is always there waiting for me to get my mind and body back on track, it’s all about me having the motivation, making time and just taking care of myself..So I will embrace the few extra lbs & the tight hamstrings, because I had a great vacation! Sometimes people post pics on social Media that make them look perfect every day, well I am def not one of those people & I’m not perfect , just doing the best I can. so now I say Enjoy life, it’s to short not too, But take care of yourself, everything in moderation & Get on the mat and flow! ✌🏼
Happy Tuesday friends! There is so much I want to start sharing with you, but of course I've got to take one thing at a time.
I started thinking of the one thing that has really changed my life and my perspective on how I want to live every single day...that one thing is meditation.
A couple of years ago, I would have laughed at the notion of taking time to meditate. Fast forward to today, and it's the one constant in my daily life that I absolutely CRAVE. Mediation doesn't have to be perfect, you don't have to be sitting up straight closing your eyes. You can practice moving meditation wherever you are. If meditation isn't for you, that's okay! But what about your breath? Do you ever really focus on how you breathe? Do you ever really take time for yourself? If not, I want to challenge you to do so.
Taking time for ourselves is so important and it could literally change your mood in an instant! You have a choice to wake up and have a good day or a bad day. I choose to have good days everyday no matter what I am dealing with at the time. Why?...WHY NOT?! Take the time to be here, now, for YOU. You and everyone around you with be grateful.
If you're reading this right now, do yourself a favor and take 3 really long, deep breaths, no matter where you are. Notice how you feel after...I promise you won't regret it.
