Kali Puja coincides with Diwali, the North Indian New Year, the festivals of lights .The national festival of the Bengalis, The Durga Puja ends with a somber tone. But soon after that people again rejoices at the festive mood of Diwali. Every households clean their houses and light up candles all over their houses. Children and adults set off firecrackers all night. No one sleeps on that night.
History of Kali Puja
The Kali Puja is held on the night of the New Moon in the Bengali month of Kartik. It is said that Maharaja Krishnan Chandra of Nawadweep gave an order that everyone, in his domain should worship Kali. According to history the present form of the image of Kali, is due to a dream
The Mythology of Kali Puja
Goddess Kali appears in various forms as an embodiment of Shakti, the eternal energy and cosmic power. She is also the Goddess of Tantrism or the Indian Black Magic. . Using the powerful imagery of paintings, sculptures, and writings, the celebration of Kali Puja explores and illumines the rich meanings of feminine divinity. Legend has it that Ma Kali was the Goddess of dacoits. But Ma Kali is the Goddess of common man the middle-class people, or the daily wage earner too.
The image of Kali usually shows her foot on Lord Shiva's chest, a severed head in one hand, her sword in the other, and wearing a garland of skulls. The actual puja takes place at midnight on the day of the new moon.
The main purpose of the kali puja is to seek the help of the goddess in destroying evil - both in the outside world and within us. Kali Puja is done to diminish the ego and all negative tendencies that hinder spiritual progress and material prosperity.
The rituals of Kali puja are very plain and simple. Elaborate cooking or preparation is not needed to satisfy Ma Kali. Even 'soma ras' or pure wine is offered as a 'bhog' to Ma Kali.
The main puja starts at midnight and stretches till dawn. Ma Kali is worshipped amidst the bursting of crackers and display of fireworks.
DO PEOPLE HAVE TO GET NAKED IN MY TRAININGS?
Short answer is: absolutely not.
Long answer is: you could be asking this question because you've seen that I'm posting lots of nude photos, both my own and sometimes discreet nude photos of my groups. To me nudity is always a symbol of freedom, of our willingness to show up naked, in the most powerful thing there is - our vulnerability... without borders, without protection in eternal trust in the power of our naked heart, of our naked soul.
I need you to know that in my trainings no one will ever push you to do anything that doesn't feel right for you. It's true that you see quite a bit of nudity in the photos I share (but that's mostly from the second module of the Priestess School where we work specifically on our sexuality). My students will confirm that it just feels natural and nourishing to sunbathe naked and they felt safe in that among other sisters. And yes we want to share our nude beauty with the world, as an offering to heal the shame that is so deeply ingrained in the society.
The first module of the Priestess School is very gentle, yet deep. And you are always in power to choose your pace. I am constantly inviting women to check in with themselves and not push. We do a lot of work on our boundaries too.
Module 1 is an absolute prerequisite to all following modules.
And that’s what’s following up:
Module 2 (May/June 2018)
The leadership training (July 2018)
Module 3 - pilgrimage to the sacred temples in Egypt (October 2018) ❤️If you are called to join the Priestess School - don’t wait any longer. We embark on a powerful journey of module 1 in February on the sacred land of beloved Bali. All details are here: www.priestess-temple.com (link in my bio too) ❤️You can view the video testimonials there too.
The challenge is to not be a prisoner of your past. The challenge is to see beyond your fears. The challenge is to not be ruled by anxiety. The challenge is take consistent action toward your dreams. The challenge is to not give up. The challenge is to not buy into the limitations of others. The challenge is to trust your vision once again. The challenge is to see beauty in yourself. The challenge is to act with the conviction that your ancestors will support you. The challenge is to believe that you can and will overcome your current hardships.
If you think of all the reasons why you could be angry or why you should be angry you would probably be angry all the time, 365 days of the year. And all that rage will destroy your health and rob you of the clarity that you need to improve the quality of your life right here, right now. Instead of dwelling on things beyond your control, ask yourself: What can I be thankful for? Who can I be thankful for? Who I can help? How can I serve? How can I be a blessing to others with my unique passions, gifts and insights?
Are you living in alignment with your deepest primal desires?
I'm not just talking just about sexual desires, but yes these are inclusive. 😍But desires across all aspects in every moment.
From what you eat, to what you wear, to where you surround yourself with, to who you surround yourself with, to what you place your focus upon.
Desires are not to be ignored or suppressed as evil.
For they are here to LIBERATE us.
The more we ignore our primal urges, the more they fester & self implode > all getting stuck , where ? In our lower chakras = hello blocked Life force / creative flowing energy!
Juice for life & centredness of being & integrity.
The key is staying 100% present, each moment will reveal where you are meant to move towards ... Leading you closer to what you desire & ultimately the key to your liberation (unleashed free flowing life force energy)!
Diets of any sort are the WORST for this very reason - the moment you restrict yourself of anything or deem something "bad" - yes even vegetarianism approached with this attitude is riddling us with guilt & shame!
An invitation to sit with breathe and presence & feel where, in this exact moment your desire is leading you..... Feel into what the "feeling" is more you desire vs the tangible thing...
It could be silence = go meditate
It could be pleasure = eat chocolate, have sex, self pleasure.
It could be joy = dance, play, sing
It could be balance = do some yoga
I just opened up to offering some more 1:1 private Tantric Alchemy sessions & retreats here in Balia 🌴
Happy Diwali - the celebration of light & the Goddess Lakshmi, or Kamalatmika in the Tantric tradition. She who is the full unfoldment of grace, intoxicating abundance and the illumination of the mind and heart. Today is the easiest day to connect with her, the veil is thin...light some candles, invite her in, be open to grace. Jai ma!
The path of the mystic is the path of growing qualities, of transforming the quantitative into the qualitative. For example, love can be a quantity – and as love is understood in the world of sleeping people, it is a quantity; hence, it is followed by jealousy.
If I love you, you are in continuous fear that I may start loving somebody else too.
And with the love divided, you will not be getting the same quantity you were getting before.
Jealousy is nothing but an expression that love is still a quantity in your mind: shared, it becomes less; shared with many people, you are getting less and less. Hence a monopoly is needed, so that you can have the whole lot of it.
And both of the lovers – because of this stupid idea – are suspicious, are always spying on each other. If your husband sees you laughing with somebody else, even that is enough to create a quarrel, a conflict, a fight. Your laughter is his monopoly. You cannot smile anywhere else, you cannot be joyful with somebody else; you are confined to an imprisonment. And the same way you are confined, you are jailed, in return you are creating a jail for your jailer. All lovers are functioning
as jailers to each other.
Hence, love promises so many roses but brings only thorns, promises stars but brings only wounds.
The awakened person, the person who is conscious of his acts, of himself, transforms every quantity into quality. His love becomes lovingness. He is a loving person.
Now, lovingness is not a quantity, it is a quality. It is not confined to somebody, it has nothing to do with the other, it has something to do with yourself. Your heart is overflowing with a loving energy; everybody is invited, whoever is receptive.

Wishing everyone around the world a joyous and blessed Diwali celebration!! 📿❤️✨🙏🏽
My favorite Indian festival, Diwali means the night of light, wherein everyone lights candles and pray for peace, happiness, and abundance. A lot of people, books, and online sources define Diwali as the day that celebrates victory of light over darkness. It does celebrate the victory of light. But it doesn't suppress or hate the darkness in any way. Diwali initiates the transcendent of darkness to light through deep meditation. In tantra traditions, Diwali holds a huge significance in manifesting the balance of spiritual abundance and material fulfilment as well. ⛈🍃📿
Meditators, poets, misfits, and all those who are in pursuit of higher truth must meditate on the night of Diwali for at least an hour. Diwali is not just the celebration night of goddess Lakshmi. It's the night when ancient wisdom traditions started the celebration of the divine feminine energy within us and around us. Make the most of it.
Happy Diwali!! ✨✨❤️🙏🏽
My heart has been hit with the #metoo campaign.
It's sobering (though not surprising) to see how many people on my Instagram and Facebook have put up their own version of #metoo over the past few days.
And I think the part that saddens me the most is how so many of us are living in this world in a traumatized state. It really is total bullshit that so many women, queer and trans folk and more have their sexual autonomy taken away from them.
Ok. Now I'm going to say something that's perhaps unpopular.
But I believe the very act of traumatizing others comes from a traumatized person to begin with.
We would not see this level of violence inflicted onto this world if we were a society that valued connection, pleasure and intimacy. If we could express our pain without being shamed, silenced and ignored. If we had outlets and examples of how to be vulnerable and authentic to ourselves, even when that means calling out our bullshit and keeping others accountable on theirs.
I'm not trying to pardon those who abuse. Hell no. Accountability is amust.
But I am saying that this violence all comes from somewhere. And when we don't deal with the somewhere, the problem persists.
The thing is, sexual torture of women is the foundation of what our modern society is built upon. Salem witch trials anyone?
And when the European and civilized man's own women were burned and slaughtered, they turned to other women: indigenous women, African women, Asian women.
The witch burning never really stopped, because it lives in our DNA. It lives in the DNA of all women, and unfortunately it lives in the DNA of many men. We continuously act out these traumas, killing each other inside-out.
I know it might be CRAZY to suggest that self-pleasuring is one way out of this all. But I actually think it is.
1) What doesn't the patriarchy want? For us to enjoy our sexual selves and sexual autonomy.
2) When we get in touch with our body and sexuality, we become empowered. Empowered women have a lot of power. Women with power fuck shit up in this world and evoke radical change.
3) Through self-pleasure we can heal SO MANY traumas, included the traumas we inherit.
