Tell me I can do it, ya'll, tell me it'll be ok! 😫😫😩 I have to say, I think I've always been a bit of a "flexible-seater" at heart. Kids in my room have always been able to find their own creative work spaces around the room, as long as they were working. As of this last week, though, they've officially taken 20 of my desks and chairs, and my principal has approved my purchase requests for a few new seating goodies! I'm nervous for 1. open house and 2. the first day. I feel like both of these are going to be a little (or a lot) crazy. Once the procedures are in place, I *think* it'll be ok. Give me your good advice on how to start this!!

I'm feeling so thankful and fortunate to have met so many amazing folks through climbing and teaching. 🙏🏾 Extra shoutouts to those who have gone out of their way to make things easier for a vegan brotha! Hahahaha. At the Bloc Party Bouldering Comp at PGSF yesterday, I asked whether or they had ordered any vegan pizzas for the post-comp chow down. They hadn't, but immediately got on the phone to order a vegan option! Last night, one of my friends prepared an amazing feast for dinner, replete with vegan options! 🙌🏾 (Final shoutout to @primo_david_ for killing the game with that bow tie and vest with the climbing holds! 👌🏾🔥) #gratitude#friends#community#climbing#climbwalls#climbingfashion#gratuitoustnfhashtag#teaching#veganlife#blackvegan
There is more to life than teaching and running. Last year I spent 4 days a week after school for many activities. There has also been countless Saturday's spent solely just running.
I love both with so much of my heart.
Life is more though. I was challenged by a friend to not hop around churches so frequently, and instead take some time out of life and invest in a specific location. In other words; get involved.
Tonight I did so by throwing paint at 35 random youth that showed up at Grace Community Church for our first annual back to school color war.
I've committed myself to spend time with our youth pastor and youth group; just helping guide them through faith, prayer, and...just life.
Only a few days left of working at Camp Lohikan in Pennsylvania as a Creative Arts/Arts & Crafts/Pottery Instructor teaching kids. It's been the most amazing summer I've ever had! I don't want it to end! 👩🏻🎨
