“Makers understand that students learn best when they can apply principles and concepts. Educating through the process of designing and making an object, product or project taps into the natural curiosity and drive that exists in all children and adults. The MakEdu Conference nurtures and promotes the growth of this type of learning” 💡💡💡www.MakEdu.org 💡💡💡

Today we set sail during #ArtStorytime and got creative with Hew Locke's artwork "For Those In Peril on The Sea." Always a fun time with the kiddos using our imaginations, learning about artworks and getting to express ourselves by making art. Lots of Smiles today☺️ #PAMMKids#ArtEducation#ArtStorytime#TeachingArtist#ContemporaryArt ・・・
Huge thanks to all the wonderful mommy bloggers who joined us today for a special #PAMMKids storytime. Learn more about our PAMM Kids programs at pamm.org/pammkids.
First day of choreography rehearsal for these kiddos for our holiday revue! So impressed with how much they’ve grown and how much fun they’re letting themselves have. Sorry, I know it’s not even Halloween but this is why I love holiday music! #100happydays#lifeislikeamusical#teachingartist#nyas
Lights, camera, action! @digistars aims to teach the ideas and skills of digital storytelling under the guise of having fun making movies.
Teachers can choose any topic of study to fit their curriculum and the awesome people at Digistars will use either Ken-Burns-style documentary filmmaking, green screen technology, or stop motion animation (ClaymationTM) to help students tell their story.
Contact us today to bring them to your school!
The core of @ableensemble’s work is our teen theatre program. Supported by a team of professional teaching artists and volunteer facilitators, the ensembles meet for weekly rehearsals to participate in a range of theater games and activities aimed at exploring the characters and themes of the play. Along the way, actors build confidence and strengthen lifelong skills including speech and communication, focus, creativity, and teamwork. Each performance is tailored to the individual strengths of the ensemble and features actors playing multiple roles, which offers everyone a chance to be in the spotlight. Over the years, we have produced TWELVE stage shows including 5 #Shakespeare plays, a #gilbertandsullivan operetta, and original plays written by our cast. Here’s #actor Emily and #teachingartist Kendra onstage in our 2015 production of Adventures in Wonderland, a co-production with @chichildtheatre
