Lessons from the Heart Vol. 3: quotes from Wu De’s visit to Boulder:
“Even a shitty, real moment is better than one that does not exist!
If you are stressed out, you are beyond your sphere of influence. Sometimes your sphere of influence is small, sometimes it’s big.
You always have control over your orientation toward what’s happening. That is your greatest power. And the best orientation is an orientation toward what *is*.
“As it is.” - Buddha. Not as you want it to be. As it is.
But to get there, you need to surrender. And tea helps us with that. We surrender to the moment, we surrender to the space. It’s a saying yes to the moment. That’s also what gratitude is. It’s saying yes to the way things are. Tea is a daily practice of letting go into the moment.”
