Inspired by the timeless aesthetics of #coptic and #byzantine art. Our #coptic collection comes in 4 prints each inspired by motifs such as floral and geometric shapes, and printed on 100% hemp. These boldly simple and highly decorative designs will be sure to elevate any space.
I’ve always had a thing for indigenous textiles. If some people’s breath are taken away by paintings & sculptures, mine is taken away by the intricate weaving of threads. I believe textiles are more than just pieces of cloth - they show the wonderful history and culture of a particular group of people. Textiles are tied to one’s identity. Having a distinct textile pattern identifiable to your culture is something to be proud of.
Given my strong feelings towards indigenous textiles, it was then a no brainer for me to decide to bring @travelfundbysiriusdan’s pillows as gifts to some friends in South America. I wanted to give them something from my land, from my heritage, which I am very proud of. These pillows are a mix of hand painted canvas and Philippine textiles. The result is an aesthetic masterpiece, and a wonderful gift to foreign friends.
These particular pillows feature the textile pattern of the Ilocos region, which is located at the northern part of the Philippines.
Thanks to TravelFund’s founder @siriusdan for the photo!
My chemistry fabric being made the old school way. This organic cotton will be cut/sewn into leggings for smarty girls near you. 👖
Also, the strenuous nature of screenprinting is not lost on me. I hope these men don't have backaches. 😕
I vetted manufacturers to ensure they treat employees ethically. Maybe I should write a blog post about that. 📝
My backache is either from days of natural labor or the subsequent epidural after hypnobirthing and a doula couldn't fix my posterior baby. 💉
Maybe I should blog about that. 🤰🏻
Vote which I should write about tomorrow. 👇🏼
(Hoping you'll kick my ass into writing; a website consultant has instructed me to blog.) 🍑
