Sometimes just serving it like this makes anyone feel special. Today is a special day and this is my way of showing love.
A traditional, almost vegan South Indian samayal(cooking) with manathakkali keerai/black nightshade greens that we hardly can get our hands on here. Thanks to my friend who grows it in her backyard, it was the star of this plate.
After a good relaxed meal, a game of monopoly, off to watch 'Wonder woman'(not my choice;).
On the plate:
Rice, Manathakkali berries Vatha kozhumbu/pulikozhumbu, manathakkali keerai kootu(check insta stories for recipe), morkhozhumbu/buttermilk curry, bell pepper poriyal, potato fry, Paruppu payasam/moong daal Kheer, and Onion pakora. Papad to complete the meal.
