We don't have much info on our boy Matt, his profile is private (so what mystery lies ahead, follow and find out 😉) but we know this. He's an American Soldier and he deserves our thanks. #ThankYouForYourService handsome ! @mattb12112_
A couple months ago Emmanuel Salazar brought in a heap of a shifter to our shop. After 3 tours of serving this nation of ours in Iraq he returned to a kart in much need of attention. His original request was a brake change and minor engine work. We decided a proud Marine deserved something much better than what he brought in... #catkartracing @pistonbones #proudmarine#thankyouforyourservice#gofast
Not what I usually take pictures of, but the D-25 Bomber has always been a favorite of mine since childhood.
Growing up in the South Pacific I got to see old WW2 remains spread out in the jungle and a few time I actually got to scuba dive on a B-25 that was in some shallow water, even sit in the cockpit!
The history that surrounds this plane, the change that it made in history is quite impressive. Even more impressive is the people who bravely climbed it it not knowing if they would come back or not but did it anyways! I am very thankful for the men & women who serve, it's truly incredible what you do! THANK YOU!
Tonight we welcome back OPD officer Porter after his 10 month military #deployment . We were so glad to be there to celebrate his homecoming and watch him surprise his daughter. #thankyouforyourservice
A little story.
2 years ago, i was at a massive international shooting competition. Armies from all over turned up. Naturally all the soldiers from various nations would be at the bar, once the day was wrapped up.
One particular night, the US marines were there. They were loud, proud and unashamedly American. But there was this one SGT who was quiet and in the corner. I walked over with a beer in hand and offered it to him. He smiled, took the beer and didn't say anything. I knew something was up. So i sat down, asked him if everything was all good.
Nothing was said. No questions, no small banter. Just quiet.
But i continued to sit there, smiling and waving to the others who drank themsleves into a coma. A good two hours later, the good SGT said "thanks." I looked confused. "I didn't do anything." "Today is the one day of the year that i wrestle with. I lost a good handful of men and i always wondered if i could have done something different. Could i have told them to walk down a different alleyway, or placed overwatch differently. I hate it. But sometimes being there but not asking anything is nice. So... Thanks." I paused. I knew what was going through his mind and the quiet madness he tried to silence.
I raised my beer to him, "we will remember them."
Mike is leaving and it makes me sad cuz I know I'm gonna miss this dude, but I'm proud of him for going to school. He's gonna be a college boy! They grow up so fast 😢 Thanks for putting up with me and letting me hug you and telling me I'm pretty hahaha. I'll visit you in Tejas! #thankyouforyourservice
