Finished my half marathon in relative comfort on the back of next to no training in the last 2 weeks. On the start line I needed to wee, Dave told me it was in my head, but at 6km I was busting, waited in a queue for what seemed like eternity to empty my bladder that could have filled a pool! Now that I was race lightened I stuck to my plan of running at a pace of 6.30min per km. This worked in my favor for keeping my heart rate steady, and my legs, hip flexors and glutes in check to last the distance. I smashed this half marathon on the mental & physical aspects way better than I thought I would. I had contemplated down grading to the 10km due to lack of proper training, so glad I didn't,, happy running peeps ❤
Today, we saw the last of these gorgeous creatures make their way to a new home! Thanks so much! Happy long weekend Melbourne and to everyone else, have a fantastic weekend!!
Comfort Food Cabaret Melbourne Fringe (aka Penthouse pop-up musical restaurant) is now done and dusted for 2017. Thank you to the beautiful audiences that joined us for three unforgettable dinner parties during our short season. It's been such an incredible, exhilarating, informative and exhausting experience. My limbs and my voice are tired, my feet are swollen and I'm exhausted beyond belief but I feel so proud and I'm so delighted by how it was received by our Melbourne audiences.
It's been at least four months in the making, with endless hours of planning, budgeting, list making and marketing. It's been character building, stressful, satisfying and thrilling and we've definitely learnt what works and what can be improved. Comfort Food Cabaret isn't the kind of show that can easily be packed into a suitcase and bumped into any venue - the logistical components make it comparative to a intricate dinner event, it requires a small army to make it work and the cooking and music elements make it an expensive exercise which is also richly rewarding. But these are all the moving parts that make Comfort Food Cabaret the unique, generous, warm and delicious experience that it is today.

I am so thankful for witnessing this earth.. ❤🌏
I began this year in Botswana, after having travelled from South Africa and through Zimbabwe. An incomparable experience.
Spent one short night in Mauritius but didn't have a chance to soak in the moundful country side before jetsetting away.
Blessed to have flown to America in February and basked in the glory of San Diego California, spending time with some absolutely beautiful people.
October sees me in Bali where i will loath myself in self development, restoration and blissful relaxation; part taking in an expressive and soul connecting retreat.
I will see this year out in Vietnam as i travel from North down South of a magical piece of earth.
7 countries in just over 12 months. And in between spending earned time on discovering and embracing beautiful places of our home country. And i made it all possible ✌😍 I am eternally grateful for my eyes that can see, my heart that can feel and my body which can take me there.
Thankful doesn't come close to describing the opportunities we have in our world, and the people we get to share it with. 💕
