"I believe there is a beautiful sinergy between Boston and the Dominican Republic that is linked to baseball, and I believe we need to use and continue to use platforms like baseball and UNICEF in order for us to create opportunities for children and youth at risk that need hands like all of us. Thank you @unicef for sowing into the best land we can sow, our children. God bless you all"

This is how my family of 4 looks like. Even tho you guys can't see my Ryan, he is here with us. He's with us spiritually and I carry his little brown monkey blanket to feel him closer. #TheMartinez Lots of walking but so worth it. #BrooklynBridge#NewYork#Tourists#TravelBug
The Martinez is one of those classic cocktails whose true recipe is up for debate. The ingredients are generally accepted as being gin, vermouth, maraschino, and bitters, but that's about as consistent as the drink gets. This is a fun one to play around with, because since it's fairly well trapped between the Martini and the Manhattan, you can slide back and forth without ever making something undrinkable. If you have been following this program since the beginning, you probably have a rack of bottles of liqueurs and things that simply don't fly off the shelf, and this is a great way to utilise some of the oddball ingredients you may have picked up.
1.5oz (or more, or less) Old Tom Gin (or regular gin, if you like drier)
1.5oz (as above, as long as the gin and vermouth combined are 3oz) Punt e Mes Sweet Vermouth
A few dashes of Luxardo Maraschino (to taste)
2 dashes Orange Bitters (or one orange and one aromatic, or 2 aromatic, or really and combination of two dashes of whatever bitters you want to use)
Combine ingredients over ice and stir vigorously. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and garnish with whatever seems appropriate to the specific blend of ingredients you chose.
