I am in love with this simple and delicious veggie burger. In my recipe, I added bacon because of its smell and texture. 
Good thing is you have most, if not all ingredients at home. You can ad different spices and fresh herbs, and the burgers can be flavored in a variety of ways. 
Just relax and be creative! 🍀🍀💕

“Geniale Getreide Küche“. von @foodvegetarisch erschienen im @ulmerverlag 🌿💚ein so tolles Buch rund um unser Getreide. Von Amaranth bis Quinoa ganz viele Getreidesorten beschrieben, erklärt und mit vielen vollwertigen , Vegetarischen / Veganen Gerichten. .
Ob Frühstücksideen, Snacks, Salate, Suppen oder auch süßes gibt es so leckere Rezepte und Ideen 💡 eine Ausführliche Körnergrunde , wozu die einzelnen Getreidesorten geeignet sind findet man auch. Und viele weitere Tipps rund um‘s Korn 🌾 mit wunderbar appetitlich ausschauenden Bildern. Ich hätte mir gerne noch mehr herzhafte Gerichte von Graupen, Amaranth oder Polenta gewünscht. Aber ich denke wenn man etwas Phantasie hat, passt das ein oder andere Gericht auch für diese Sorten. Also Daumen hoch 👍🏼 für dieses tolle Buch 📚 
Was ist euer liebstes Getreide? Ich liebe Hirse, Reis sowieso, Buchweizen und Quinoa gerne. Mit den anderen Sorten wie Dinkel, oder Roggen habe ich bisher nur gebacken und den Rest, naja Graupen noch nie probiert hab ich aber da, und Polenta oder Amaranth muss ich unbedingt mal aufbrauchen. I didn’t feel like anything too heavy tonight for dinner so it was a bowl filled with salad greens, organic brown & wild rice, @ceresorganics black beans, @benourishednz Ruby perfection sauerkraut, cauliflower & broccoli, capsicum, courgette & half an avocado. That crispy skin thoughhh 🤩 it’s unreal on this Sabzi Roast Chicken.

If you didn’t know, Sabzi is a persian herb, most commonly used in the national dish of Iran – Ghormeh sabzi. Please don’t ask me how to pronounce that, because I will 100% butcher it. But anyway, the dish is traditionally a mix of herbs, dark leafy greens, split peas, onions, and turmeric-seasoned meat. So I turned that into a marinade for this roast chicken with coconut yogurt, turmeric, garlic, Sabzi, and a few other goodies to make a Whole30 compliant version.

You marinate the chicken in this delicious sauce, pop it in the oven, and then let the flavors develop. And it creates this gorgeous, epically delicious skin on the chicken…I wouldn’t be surprised if you stood in the kitchen eating the skin off before you actually cut the chicken. Not that it’s happened before or anything…

Been having a very unpredictable week as far as meal prep, but instead of throwing my hands up, I'm getting creative with my #notatmydesklunch. Today's lunch is sweet potato noodles from @veggienoodleco, marinara sauce from @wholefoods with the last of the chicken sausage and some arugula.

Though I usually prefer to make most parts of my meal and have the tools to do so, I'm learning to be more okay with buying these just as nutrient dense versions. Sometimes my time is more valuable than a couple extra bucks. Other times I'm okay with spending the time over the money to get what I want.

So I have decided that I might just possibly have an unhealthy obsession with all things bread! Just like last month when I went on the 28 day reset to keep clean during the holidays, and craved a slice of bread like no ones business,  the same thing has already happened in just the first 2 days of the whole30 where I am once again craving everything sandwich!

Take for example this amazing MLT that I made a few nights back with big juicy portabella mushroom slow roasted with smoked paprika and Himalayan sea salt on my homemade caraway rye bread.😍

So far I am holding strong, and am trying to attack the root of the problem which I am guessing is a lack of carbs (and not a lack of refined white high gluten bread flour like my tummy would like to think it is!) I've heard so many good things about the whole 30 diet, and I'm excited to see what the end results are!

I’m all about making a big bowl of leftovers, throwing some sauce on top and calling it lunch (or dinner!) at the end of the week for a great Whole30 or anytime meal. This week I’m doing a mod on my pesto chicken + broccoli cauliflower rice bowl with some leftover chicken (from a DELISH recipe I’m posting tonight), totally out of season tomatoes and zucchini (whatever.), broccoli, and some cashew ranch dressing - recipe coming to you guys next week! I'm still trying to perfect my twirl of pasta. If my son had his way, I would get to practice twirling every night, he loves pasta! I'm thankful for the various ways to prepare this dish! I love mine, regardless of the type of sauce, on a bed of baby spinach and usually with a dash of crushed red peppers. What is your go to or must haves with pasta? 2 cups Brussels sprouts sliced
1/2 cup onions finely chopped
1/4 cup walnuts finely chopped
2 tbsp coconut oil
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 tsp cinnamon
Pinch of sea salt
Black Pepper to taste 
Directions:
1. Heat coconut oil in skillet then add onions and saute for 3 minutes
2. Mix in a separate bowl, apple cider vinegar, cinnamon, sea salt and pepper
3. Add Brussels sprouts, apples and walnuts to skillet and vinegar mixture. Continue to saute for another 8-10 minutes
4. Serve alone or pair with a protein of your choice like these @sunworks_farm Organic, Free Range Honey Chicken Sausage I got from @spudyeg .
