What does a disruptor mean to you? Growing up, we learned to associate it negatively as bad behaviour, "Johnny was being very disruptive in class today"...it literally means 'to destroy'. But what has it grown to mean? To me - it's many things: among them, it's a challenger, it's a bar raiser & it's a "I'm about to force you to level up-er". I'm already lucky enough to belong to a company that harnesses, encourages, and celebrates disruption and it's how we smoke the competition, stand out, and challenge the status quo on the daily. That's why, coming from this, another (littler, but not so little) company right here 👆🏼 is so attractive to me. #Deciem has literally turned the beauty industry on its head with hurricane force winds. Transparency in pricing, ingredients & customer service. Honesty in an world of excess and glitzy marketing. Take a deep breath, it's very refreshing. 👏🏼 #foodforthought#scienceoverhype
Damn all of you instagrammers for posting these. So many went through my feed that I had to go to the store. My hand and arms are full of serums. #toronto yes, of course i bought the rosehip oil. Looking forward to the teenage size pimples. There's lots of products missing from the web site. We'll see if the quality of these products are too good to be true for the price or if this is a fad. Of course some of these are just pure oils. Kinda like that they're all science-y dropper bottles. @deciem should offer a make your own "the buffet" mixture. #theordinary
I have quite a few pictures I've been meaning to post. This slightly crooked one was last nights routine.

For me this is a massive thing to do ♡ Not that I always have a full face of makeup but this is me completely makeup free. (Please excuse the hair) I have so much more confidence in my skin which again for me is huge!
When I was younger I had such bad skin and was often bullied/name called for having spots. People said they could play dot to dot on my skin, I've been called ugly, I even had someone say you wouldn't be the same without spots, I'm so used to you having them !! I tried everything from the doctors some painful and absolutely nothing worked.
Over time my skin improved but still have breakouts.
I am so impressed with my new skin care from The Ordinary at @deciem . Not only is it keeping the spots at bay (just a few imperfections/redness), my skin has never felt better and I'm actually getting compliments about my skin which again is huge for me ♡

Midday check in - and likely the last today - for #theordinary serum foundation (shade 1.1P). While the full coverage foundation held very well all day, this one is starting to fade. I can see the redness in my chin and cheeks coming through at this point, and my T zone is getting quite shiny. This might still be a good foundation for those with very even, normal skin or who don't like a heavy foundation and don't mind touching it up midday. #nofilter
#empty#madrelabs retinol serum - this summer I was slowly getting back to retinol after pregnancy & chose this serum, because it's very gentle. It has stabilized retinol (unknown percentage), and however I used it (daily, buffered by hyaluronic acid or unbuffered, even in same routine with mild acids) - it never caused irritation or dryness, while I could see all the benefits one gets from retinol: basically, smoother skin. Super-light & watery texture, smells a bit weird. I think it's a really great option, it's very affordable (@iherb Sells it for under $20 for 30 ml) & I will keep this serum in mind for the future
#newbie#deciem#theordinary advanced retinoid 2% (now renamed to granactive retinoid 2% emulsion) - I really recommend checking out deciem's website for details about this one. It has 2% concentration of more gentle retinol form, but the company claims it yet to be as much effective. The texture is milky, so when I tried to use it before my hydrating serum it didn't feel in place, will move it to later point in pm routine. It didn't do any damage in first use, but it's too early to say how effective it is. I'm planning to use it daily after hydration before final pm moisturizer.
Sehr günstige Produkte, cooles, minimalistisches Design und gute Inhaltsstoffe/Wirkungen🤗 #makeup#haul#makeuphaul#mufe#makeupforever#ghd#theordinary#loracpro#palettes eyeshadows #brushes

WHATS SO SPECIAL ABOUT THE PRODUCT❔
✨🌞💆🏾🌞✨Achieve a gradual, subtle tan with this lightweight, fast absorbing body oil that is a ‼️#DHA -free alternative to traditional fake tans.‼️
💉 Dihydroxyacetone (DHA) is a chemical ingredient derived from glycerin, and is the active ingredient in MOST self tanning products. As the consumer has become more conscious over the years many are more conscious of the ingredients they are consuming and looking to try more natural alternatives to just about EVERYTHING! So despite the fact that it is not scientifically proven that DHA causes any harm at all (it simply reacts with the amino acids in the surface layer of the skin turning it brown) ~ THIS REMAINS AN ALTERNATIVE ✅
👩🏾🔬Formulated with a raspberry based keto-sugar🍇, the oil glides effortlessly over the skin to provide an immediate glow and deliver a natural looking golden tan
✅Innovative gradual tanner
✅freefrom alcohol, silicone and nuts
✅#Vegan friendly and #crueltyfree
✅Suitable for all skin types
HOW TO USE❔
✨💆🏾✨Shake well before use to disperse "invisible" golden prisms evenly. Apply the hydrating dry oil on the legs, body and face delivering an immediate and long-lasting golden glow.. Within the first 3 days, use once or twice daily. Afterward, use once daily or less to maintain desired radiance. Can also be mixed with moisturizers if desired❕🔆

This morning was a “skincare please help me look awake” sort of morning, so I pampered accordingly.
I cleansed this morning with #clinique Fresh Pressed #vitaminc Powder ☀️ I love really rich cleansers, ones that don’t foam, necessarily, but cloak your skin in a creamy goodness. And this is definitely one of them. My face feels so much brighter after this!
#drbrandt Age-Defying Microdermabrasion Exfoliator ☀️ This exfoliant is luxe. I like spending some time (a minute or two) scrubbing this around on my face, making sure to give time to those hard to reach nooks!
#maycooo Raw Sauce ☀️ Essence is the new mist? (I’m all about it.)
#skyniceland Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels ☀️ Uh, YES PLEASE. All my eyes really wanted was sleep, but I gave them these instead and they were okay with the trade-off. These are the best eye gels I’ve ever found. They’re cooling, and don’t yield only temporary effects—they actually transform my eyes from puffy to normal person eyes while I get my espresso ready. 💁
#drunkelephantskincare C-Firma Day Serum☀️ I have so many Vitamin C #serums that I like! I love how this one feels (and smells!) and it immediately gives my skin that tighter feel.
#algenist Complete Eye Renewal Balm ☀️ And then I went in all over my around-the-eyes area with this! 🙌🏻
#foliummedica Citral serum* ☀️ Okay, okay. This serum...is lovely. It’s supposed to be helpful for de-puffing (which usually isn’t an issue I...face 😉) but this morning it definitely was. It smells great. All of the products I’ve tried from this line smell divine. Their smells are natural, strong, and unique. No breakouts from this yet (👌🏻) and applying these oils gets me to massage my face, which is just great all around: great for the skin, great for stress-reduction, and great for emulsifying the oil. I’m loving this line. (I used their mask a few nights ago and it was a MAGICAL experience, filled with the scents of a Thanksgiving meal—I’m excited to use it again!)
(More in comments!)
I had a request for what I use in my skincare routine so here it is!
AM: - I wash my face with the Dr. Bronners soap. This one smells like citrus and I looove it. My skin is oily and acne prone, and this works like a dream to cleanse and it's like $3 bucks!
-Then I use the OXY Salicylic pads to kill any lil blemishes
- I wash my face again with the Dr. Bronners soap (If I'm wearing makeup that day I double cleanse, once to get my makeup off and once to make sure it's nice and free from makeup)
-OXY pads again at night ( also helps to definitely make sure the makeup is off, because it'll be on the pad if I missed any) - Then I go I to the Azelaic Acid from The Ordinary. I believe the two products from the Ordinary really amped up my skincare and helped me get the most benefit out of it.
** Twice a week I'll do the AHA/BHA Peel for 6 minutes
I finally got around to ordering some products from The Ordinary! I've heard so many great things about this company - amazing ingredients at an amazing price. I can't wait to see how these change my skincare routine! Here's what I got:
