It's fascinating when light takes on this visually confined existence as we nearly always interact with it in an all encompassing way. Light typically engulfs us. But in those calm quiet moments, like this morning in Big Basin after four straight days of rain, light reveals itself. 🌞
Today's takeover is by #NYC -based photographer and Print Swap participant Anne Rosen (@aerosenphoto), who took this picture while traveling through #Snæfellsnes Peninsula, #Iceland . "The first thing I pay attention to is the light," the artist tells us. "This 'long and winding road' was the only bright line in the hazy light." She continues, "I first started taking photographs in graduate school, when a friend sold me her used 35mm Pentax. I quickly became fascinated--I think because I found the whole process so magical. I still do! And I’ve always kept it up, through many cameras, and having kids, and now being freer to travel." Sunday morning Julio Cortázar vibes⠀
"Then, why do we need to stay put like the wheel locks in the middle of the crossroads? For what does it serve to know or believe to know that every road is false if we don't walk it with a purpose that isn't already the road itself? We aren't Buddha, man, there aren't any trees here to sit below in lotus position. Here comes a cop and he gives you a ticket"⠀
