Top sales trainers agree on this one but don’t let the overgeneralization big you down. If you want to dunk and can’t, do try. But don’t let failing at that keep you from your goal. Failure is real but think in terms of steps to success instead of “trying”.

True story: When I was interviewed by our VP, I was upfront. You might find someone smarter than me, more qualified, but they would not out work me. I love the saying "hustle beats talent when talent doesn't hustle" and believe it to be true. Thats the reason I seem to be everywhere, because I am. And it's not just me. The beauty of this job is I get to network with so many business owners, CEO's and other C-level executives and let me tell you they are all grinding! .
Sooo, for those asking how do I get to do what you do? GRIT GRIND and HUSTLE. .
I'll end with this thought that got me here. The people at the top of their game aren't twice as smart as you. They've developed knowledge which can all be learned, they jumped all in when opportunities are there, and GRIND.
I would say it’s Motivation Monday like everyone always says but I don’t believe in motivation. My wife and I had a conversation today, motivation is just another way of feeling like you can do it right in that moment. The word I like is Discipline. Discipline is simply committing to something and keeping that commitment or promise to yourself over time. Everyone falls off the wagon or horse so to speak from time to time but you have to just keep pushing and try again. Everyone fails at something, your not going to succeed in every attempt but surround yourself with strong people and your chances of failure will decrease greatly. If I want to feel motivated I like to think about anyone important in my life that I wouldn’t want to let down so to anyone who may come across my rambling, just do you, try and commit to yourself, don’t worry about what anyone else thinks, create goals
