Even mild to moderate dehydration can create potentially damaging consequences to your body during exercise. Not drinking enough fluids or losing too much bodily fluid causes dehydration. This can thicken your blood, cause your blood vessels to narrow and increase your risk of developing blood clots. Exercising under these conditions is dangerous and can also prolong the effects of dehydration.
Dehydration is also a cumulative process. You can become dehydrated with even a moderate exercise routine if you do not drink enough fluid to replace what you lose on a daily Basis !
Dehydration occurs when fluid is lost in significant amounts from the body. As fluid is lost from the bloodstream and body tissues, an electrolyte imbalance occurs. Exercising under these conditions can have consequences ranging from mild heat cramps to potentially life-threatening heatstroke ! Seizures can occur as a result of the electrolyte imbalance, causing involuntary muscle contractions and a potential loss of consciousness. Low blood volume can also cause hypovolemic shock, which creates a drop in blood pressure and significantly decreases the amount of oxygen available to the body, making exercise dangerous. 💪@b0rn2bfit 💪@coach_tayfun

12 WEEK💫TRANSFORMATION TUESDAY
After a summer of being ho-hum about workouts, kinda needing a break from BBG and wanting something fresh to motivate me, I decided to try a new guide from @lovesweatfitness 💕 It’s been a little over 12 weeks and I love it! The guide is easy to use, has a similar yet different vibe than BBG and most importantly, it gave me that new workout routine high! 😅 You know what I mean!? 💁🏼♀️ Plus since I workout from my RV while traveling, I can do it anywhere! 🙌🏼 I’m planning on starting again on 1/1 if anyone wants to join me! 💪🏼 Until then I’m running and doing yoga and bits and pieces of the guide... oh and resting 🎅🏼🎄Link to the LSF guide is in my bio 😘

• Easy (slow🐌!!) 5km this afternoon. I wasn't going to train at all today as I've been feeling a bit tired and achy 🙇🏻♀️. Theo came down with a virus poor little dude, and I'm definitely battling it too. But I felt like I needed to stretch my legs and being by the beach 🏝 and salty breeze 💦💨was so lovely. Hopefully I'll be feeling better tomorrow, I really hate being sick!! Plus going away for holidays Sunday✈️⛵️👙☀️! •

The past four days have been a crazy busy whirlwind on this thing we call life! I have had back to back events to attend since Saturday night! I have known about this week for ages and had been slightly dreading the fact I was going to be so busy!! But I have just about survived!! Although each night has been very GOOD! Finally nothing is happening tonight and I can resume back to a normal schedule and start feeling slightly human again!! Waking up this morning and I am definitely on the struggle bus! Today’s workout was all about stretching and core!! Lots of early nights are needed for the next few days!! Sometimes life can get crazy but I have enjoyed spending time with friends and family!! ‘‘Tis the season!

2018 is approaching, are you ready for a brand new change? Spider-Spartan Benjamin Fan has designed a special workout challenge for our Spartans to welcome 2018 in their best shape!
THE WORKOUT CHALLENGE:
1. Finish 15 Burpees
2. Muscle up or Pull ups
3. Do as many muscle ups/pull ups as possible!
It is a 60-second workout. Benjamin finished 6 muscle ups and 6 pull ups after 15 burpees. How many can you do? It is your turn now!
