It's carbs on carbs on carbs over here and I haven't been holding back so, to counteract the pizza, pasta and Peroni's, I've been exercising daily. 
I got myself down to the beach early and found the only bit of sunlight for a full body workout. 30 seconds working with a 30 second rest, for 4 rounds. Now where are those calzones at!? πŸ•

I miss not having to adult so much, being able to travel and enjoy what the world has to offer when I'm not incredibly busy. Life can get you so caught up that you forget to enjoy the beauty. As I try to unwind before my last exam, I find myself missing my time in Spain and England. Whoever said to travel while you can was right. You learn so much of what's outside of your front door when you go and travel the world, so open up the numerous possibilities to learn and enjoy life.

The next position we shot was the so called "German Hang"! It's basically the end range of a full "Skin the Cat" where you start in a normal Hang and go up in between the rings to this point! The Skin the Cat is more of a dynamic exercise while the German Hang is a static position you hold for time which does a tremendous job of stretching your pecs, anterior deltoids, and most importantly your biceps especially with the rings turned out like that! You will have to go very slowly at first and you don't ever want to rush this move!

I didn't have access to a gym today. Instead I had a football stadium that was currently being used for a tiny tots flag football game. But I made it work! Walking, jogging, banded squats, banded glute kickbacks, step ups, running the stairs....I did everything I could think of to get a leg workout. Let's talk getting oldπŸ™ˆπŸ‘΅πŸ» Nobody likes to think about it, but it happens. After the hurricane, the weather was so nice. A welcomed change here in Florida where it's been so hot and humid lately. I had a bright idea...hey, maybe I should go for a run in this beautiful weather. My run felt fantastic! My knee, on the other hand, wasn't so pleased with me! So much so, that just walking the last couple of days has been a task. Anyway, my need to sweat always over powers my need to rest (if possible). Here is a low impact core/arm routine that is sure to not disappoint! Pullups in general are one of my weaknesses when it comes to high reps, multiple sets, or mid- to late bar complex routines. So, I've been reaching out to friends regarding different workouts to help me build strength and muscle endurance in this area and here's one of the first circuits I tried courtesy of my good friend Boasie @boasie_barstarzz as follows:

With this as my first attempt I wanted to see how far I could get before breaking set and was only able to get 3 rounds unbroken and only 7 pulls + 20 push-ups in 4th round. Complete video normal speed 4m 30s with video sped up 4x to fit IG limits.

I recently hurt my shoulder doing who knows what so I've been incorporating resistance band exercises like these to strengthen the rotator cuff and other surrounding muscles. PS fun fact... this is the type of music I most listen to while workout out. Keeps me focused

I have to say that I love #bloomingtonindiana's trail system. We practically live on it, which makes little excursions all the easier. We bike to the #farmersmarket on Saturdays using the trail system but on Sundays we have a more leisurely walk with our pup in tow. It's a workout, it's an adventure, it's a place for snacks and life lessons. What would we do without our beloved trails? .

This morning we decided spur of the moment to take the kids to the mountains. It was quite an active rest day! After a 2 hour hike/walk, we stopped at a playground, which I think I was more excited about than the kids πŸ˜‚ Guys! There were rings, and pull up bars, parallel bars, and even a rope to climb, oh my! 😱 Worked on my chin ups, did some grip work, used the parallel bars for tri dips and leg raises, and attempted pull ups πŸ™„ still working on those! Had tons of fun climbing the rope with my kiddos too! Then we stuffed our faces with s'more ice cream - all about the balance, right #fitfam ?!
