This morning is too busy being colourless and cold
so my photo clearly shows how much I prefer the yesterday one.
It was the sun's last stay in Sofia
perhaps even Bulgaria
for this week.
Because weather patterns are changing
Snow is expected to arrive as early as Sunday
completely killing off any remaining traces of warmth.
I'm not going to try to guess why. What's awesome about nature
is that it isn't a timetable.
It isn't fixed in any way.
Still,it has laws
and these laws are always in effect.
Early winter typically arrives at the end of the month
but here's an exception
and the law
And if forecasts are correct
no sun until Tuesday.
Yet I can't do anything about it.
Once I'm free of a sickness that's been eating my life from the inside
I'll be able to smile and feel alive
even at minus 10 degrees.
Monday has to pass first
and in the way I want it to pass.
Speaking of which..
difficult times reveal people's true characters.
Supposed friends' characters.
Sadly, most wouldn't even bother to ask you what's up
let alone make an attempt to support you.
They're with you when everything is alright
but as soon as it isn't
you no longer exist.
How did I allow myself to have any expectations about them
is beyond me.
With many troubles to worry about
I can't afford to think about another one.
As one optimist would say :
I thank my life for opening my eyes
and inspiring me to take actions. °
I was talking to a friend today as she shared her concerns about the holiday season.
She's new to the wellness journey and terribly worried she'll lose all her progress and good habits over the holiday season.
It reminded me of how far I've come. When I was just starting on my own journey, you'd better believe I bombed through the holidays!
But, over the years, I've progressively gotten stronger and more disciplined. AKA: the old temptations aren't so tempting anymore.
Take a second and imagine how that will feel, when you suddenly crave the GOOD foods instead of the bad!💭
That was a message from another friend in my online mentorship. She's finally reached a point where she craves the good stuff! 🙌🏼
Anyway...where was I. 😂 My point, I guess, is that you don't need to be perfect to make progress. But you DO have to try.
We're gearing up in my online community to stay focused through the holidays, focusing on gratitude and service and making memories rather than thinking it's all about food.
I'd love to have you join us! I'm going to be offering a Christmas Dash for Cash opportunity to any new FitCamp members who jump in before Thanksgiving.🦃
Cause first thing the following Monday, it's game ON!
If you would love some help and encouragement staying healthy-ish through the holidays, and wanna get paid to do it, drop an emoji or DM me and I'll give you the nitty gritty!
