Repost from @thezestylime - Hello friends! ❤️What a Monday it's been, and it's not even over yet! ☺️ Despite being a self-proclaimed procrastinator and all-too-frequent lazeabout, today I've somehow managed to: finish all the freelance work I intended to do • pop down to the shops for some fresh fruit & veg • go for a little cemetery stroll • AND spend 3 hours in the kitchen to boot! 💪🏻 Dunno how I fit it all in, to be honest! And I've even got time for my evening walk! 🏃🏻♀️ I definitely think the motivation of my upcoming holiday helps, and probably also the fact that I've decided that my work/schedule/life is just as important as whomever else I live with! If you watched my story you might have heard me yammering on about being too much of a people pleaser for my own good. Well I've got a sticky note on my wall with the words: "sometimes you need to put yourself first, and that's okay" and I finally decided to actually do what it says! 👍🏻
For lunch I made myself a big tofu noodle bowl, which I haven't actually had in ages. 🍜 There's maple sesame sriracha glazed tofu on a bed of steamed pak choir and carrots, with edamame spaghetti and kale cooked in a spicy homemade broth. 🌶🔥🌱

there's nothing better than a big bowl of plantbased goodness for today's hot summery lunch: here we have some delicious marinated tofu (soy sauce + smoked paprika, the best!) with sesame seeds, brown rice and zucchini on the bottom, and chili-spiced avocado on top (#avomonday , am I right?)

Still trying to find a #ChineseFood place around here that has both #veganoptions and decent service. Tonight we tried #DragonExpress . No real complaints about the service, the employees were friendly and even double checked that the sauces we ordered on their recommendation were really vegan. Turns out they weren't, but they were able to come up with alternatives, which was great. The #tofu dish was very good, tofu was crispy and the "honey chicken sauce with no honey or chicken" was very flavorful. The #veggies though, in a white #garlicsauce , were just much. And between those veggies and the #friedrice (not pictured), I feel like I've been thoroughly salted.

This is my go-to meal nowadays- turmeric curry spiced rice🍚, marinated tofu, veggies🥒 and vegan store bought spring rolls dipped in sweet chili🔥all topped with dry roasted sesame seeds 🤤 this was amazing although it would be even better with avocado aaahh🥑

So Vietnamese vegetarian restaurants are a huge thing in Berlin but @conthoberlin is definitely a bit different from most of them. They've added more of a modern, unexpected style, not quite fusion but not strictly traditional Vietnamese cuisine either.
This Spring Snow smoked tofu with a vegan garlic aioli sauce was delicious. I wanted to put that sauce on everything else I had! So good!
Tofu is one of those foods I once found disgusting. I'm really glad I gave it a chance because I've learned to love how versatile it is.
Today, home marinated baked tofu with sweet potato and parsnip baked with lemon and some steamed kale.
