I LOVE a good homemade spaghetti sauce, and this recipe from @melskitchencafe is FAST and SO delicious! It's definitely a new family favorite! I have made it several times and successfully swapped in a few of my favorite Thrive ingredients. Instead of 1/2 cup chopped onions, add a little less than 1/2 cup of Freeze Dried Chopped Onions (no need to add water! Just add dry to your raw meat!). For the tomato paste and tomato sauce, I use my beloved Tomato Powder (the only ingredient is freeze dried tomatoes that have been crushed to a powder!) Instead of Tomato Paste, add 1 tbs Tomato Powder mixed with 2 tbs water. Instead of Tomato Sauce, add 1/4 c Tomato Powder mixed with enough water to make 1 cup of sauce. For an even faster sauce, use freeze dried ground beef! Enjoy!
Making pizza crackers, recipe from @livinglightculinary .....using sundried tomato powder. The whole house smells like a pizza oven! But only the dehydrator is on! Have you tried this powder yet? It's amazing in crackers, soups and sauces! And I often make my own from the tomatoes we have in the garden during the summer, if we can't eat them in time.
Heres whats for dinner! Pasta e fagioli made super simple with a box of @parlapasta #AsiagoCheeseTortellini from your grocer's freezer case! @harristeeter @thefreshmarket @lowesfoods Saute leeks and celery, add oregano and canned organic tomatoes. I started this ages ago. It's dehydrated tomatoes that were frozen. Then whizzed up in the thermomix to make a powder. The idea being you can add a little of the powder to anything for added tomato goodness. I admit...I forgot about it. It turned out pretty good despite the very long wait in the freezer.
