These macarons are definitely one of those don't knock it until you have tried it things. If you like savory and sweet then these are worth a try. For the shells I added some of my home made tomato and spinach powder. The fillings are 2 of my deviled egg filling recipes (yes I have more than one😂) the tomato has cheese and Mexican spices and the spinach has my basic recipe. I have to admit I was so nervous trying them and now I'm so glad I did. I love coming up with bite sized nutritious food I can eat and it can be used as a snack or an appetizer as well. There was some concern regarding the softening of the shells because of the filling but I avoid the mush! I am experimenting with more fillings and flavored shells. These are already a hit in my house😊
I LOVE a good homemade spaghetti sauce, and this recipe from @melskitchencafe is FAST and SO delicious! It's definitely a new family favorite! I have made it several times and successfully swapped in a few of my favorite Thrive ingredients. Instead of 1/2 cup chopped onions, add a little less than 1/2 cup of Freeze Dried Chopped Onions (no need to add water! Just add dry to your raw meat!). For the tomato paste and tomato sauce, I use my beloved Tomato Powder (the only ingredient is freeze dried tomatoes that have been crushed to a powder!) Instead of Tomato Paste, add 1 tbs Tomato Powder mixed with 2 tbs water. Instead of Tomato Sauce, add 1/4 c Tomato Powder mixed with enough water to make 1 cup of sauce. For an even faster sauce, use freeze dried ground beef! Enjoy!
