The Tomb of Horrors was the bane of many an old school Dungeons and Dragons player's existence. And the mind behind the tomb is Acererak, the demilich (recently made popular again thanks to the novel Ready Player One). This is my homage to this classic baddie. #demilich#acererak#tombofhorrors#dnd#dungeonsanddragons
The player drawn map of the #tombofhorrors#dnd5e as they explore it. Those in the know will recognise what happened here, I think. A great laugh. A few tense moments in this tomb so far, but we're all still friends. For the moment.
Port of Nyanzaru
This painting hasn't aged particularly well but I was proud of myself at the time for completing it in a day, and hopefully it was successful in inspiring the artists and writers (and by extension the players) who worked on #tombofannihilation ! You'll notice the Merchant King from earlier who I thought would be more fun as a Gnome 😎
Welcome to the Port of Nyanzaru! We've got raptor-mounted militia, markets filled with delights, pterodon scouts, ornate temples, and dinos to carry your supplies when you venture to the tomb!...you are headed to the tomb right? Of course you are! You seem the foolish sort!
"Hoy hace dos años que Gotrek y Félix vivieron en madrid sus primeras aventuras juntos matando unos trolls. Hoy lo celebran matando unos skavens y el próximo año solo los dioses lo sabrán." #tombofhorrors
To Acererak, you are nothing but a Monster Energy drink. You don’t converse with your Monster Energy drink. You just drink it and crush the can.
Face the Archlich if you dare.
Tomb of Horrors Spoiler. Swipe. A low dust covered bench is near the back wall of the vault. Resting on one end of it is a skull decorated in precious gems. The floor is covered with piles of gold, jewelry, weapons, and wondrous items. They gleam with the hint of magic. Decrepit remnants of bones litter what little floor is visible among the treasure. The aura of evil radiating from this room is staggering. Roll for initiative. Thank you @rbdmwill for the Catacombs terrain available on #drivethrurpg#tombofhorrors#dungeonsanddragons#acererak#tombofannihilation#3dprinting
#tombofhorrors SPOILERS swipe. As the party searches the grim statues our rogue fixes his eyes in the gold & brass jar. Releasing the stopper the room begins to fill with fog reeking of Sulpher and chlorine. To red eyes tower above the rogue, peering through the fog. As it dissipates he hears a voice "Thank you for releasing me from my prison. As a reward, I shall grant you 3 wishes". Players first thought ""It's a Trap". Second was to wish for being able to postpone using the other wishes. The Efreet hands the rogue 2 orange wish gems and disappears. The party now has a total of 3 orange wish gems 💎. ... not leaving any stone unturned the rogue opens both chests to find a hoard of gems and platinum. Our illusionist, Seeing the treasure, knows it can't all fit in a bag of holding. He graciously offers to help out the rogue to carry any plunder he found to make room in his bag of holding for gems and pp. In passing, the rogue's player says "I wish you didn't have to worry about bags of holding being to small". Wish granted, if you can fit it through to bags opening, you can keep it in your bag of holding. It now holds up to 300 cubic feet inside. 2 wishes left to go. Good times STL by @rbdmwill #3dprinting#tombofhorrors#sphereofannihilation#acererakthedemilich#dungeonsanddragons
