I love meatloaf. Love it! And this #duck and #shortrib meatloaf sandwich? Nothing short of heavenly.
We know that Sweet Chick has amazing chicken & waffles. But if you're in the mood to switch up your order, try this 👍👍 #omnominated#meatloaf#sandwich
Woohoo, I got to dine in the kitchen for a little bit and that totally made my night! Thank you to the GM Matt for making that happen! Going behind the scenes in the kitchen to watch what goes down is always one of my favorite things to do. I really feel it in the moment. The excitement that goes down in the kitchen is like watching a live Cirque du Soleil show for me! I absolutely LOVE it! The only thing I didn’t get on the menu was the squab, I got the sea bass instead because I’m not that into squabs. Hehe. 👩🏻🍳🍽👨🏽🍳
Things I love: finding a great hole in the wall & authentic Asian cuisine. Mr. Max gave me both! So delicious!!!! *spicy yellowtail sashimi *crispy beef tongue (fave) *spicy black garlic ramen
*curry pork katsu 🔹
This is the least pretentious place I can think of❤ The dinning experience here is like back in the old days in the streets of HK. Pink interior is so cozy and majkong decor just cracked me up😄I had their greens with dried chili & sesame. I can’t believe I’m saying this but their stir-dry greens are so delicious😍!! (I really do prefer it over meat not just because this is veganuary…) Also I had one small portion of their Cantonese BBQ selection (Pork Belly & Duck🦆🐷) served with Pickles, Plum sauce & Mustard. If you are feeling creative, go dip that pork bits into plum sauce and mustard to have that sweet, sour (from plum sauce) and some hot kick (from mustard) to balance the taste of fat👌The pork comes with a clear layer of fat and lean meat and its end was charcoal-kissed (oh yes food romance😉) But to be honest I wasn’t a big fan of the pork coz I think the taste could be cleaner. BUT their duck! I really do like. I’ve read reviews somewhere that said the skin was not crispy enough. Yes true but it is not meant to be emphasized on the crispiness…if you have had roasted duck in Wuhu, China (near Nanjing) it’s a bit like that but with more Cantonese influence. The meat is tight, chewy and juicy and its flavor is enriched with its sauce. The best way to eat it is to let it swim in the sauce for a while and then take a big bite with steamed rice 😏😍- don’t go for plum sauce or mustard for this dish. And for their prawn toast and dessert…they deserved individual posts…😄😄

Honored to be mentioned by @thrillist as the “Best Hidden Gem” in their roundup of the “Best Restaurants in Greenpoint.” Read below to check out the kind words by @elizadumais and photo by @colesaladino // 🥂 “In the age of Instagram, the “hidden gem” is a dying breed. Le Fanfare, however, is one of those rare places...Just don’t tell your friends. Once the secret’s out, you’ll never get a table.”
Wuhan noodles (also known as hot dry noodles) is a traditional dish from Wuhan in China. It is usually a breakfast food and you will typically be able to find it in street carts in residential areas. Very popular in China. Ok so maybe you've had sesame noodles (pictured here) and obviously you've had beef brisket (we had that and an egg added to the noodles) - This was delicious!!! The white thing is DEEP FRIED MOCHI 😱 and then you dip it in sugar powder😱😱😱 yasssssssss
