With The Last Jedi just around the corner I thought I'd retake my 'Evolution' image
As we come towards the end of 2017 I find myself looking at my desk calendar and thinking can I recreate that image... so I've given it a go :)
The original trilogy
Day 11 - The Luggabeast. Great little build and another piece from Jakku. Still annoyed with myself for not picking up the Luggabeast model for £7 when I had the chance but I'll have to make do with this one for now.
My entry to @legoman_scotland awesome #millenniumfalcongiveaway ‼️ Check out his awesome Lego collection‼️ ----------------Wicket Wystri Warrick
Ever since I was a kid, Wicket has been my favorite. The reason for that I think is that my uncle had the Kenner Star Wars figure back in the 80s and I loved it! I remember very well how we used to play with the figures for hours. It was the coolest thing ever. And the love for Wicket didn't get any less when I finally got to see him "for real" in Return of the Jedi. That was a movie moment I never forget. And I think bears are quite cool, even tho Wicket is more like a teddy bear.
When the first Lego set containing Wicket got released in 2002 (set 7139 Ewok Attack), I had to get it. He only had one color and no print on him but that didn't matter, he was great! Years after the first Ewok set, I came across the Lego Ewok Village (set 10236) and saw the new version of Wicked. And this time he got the right color print and a hood. The price was quite high, so I had to think this over, but it really was a no-brainer; this IS a must buy! So there it was, my first big Lego set and now I got his home too.
The Ewok Village box is the only opened box I have kept cus I can't get myself to throw it away. I also have a Lego Wicket key chain, so every time I walk out the door, I bring him along. Each time I look at my Wicket figures, the memories of a good place where my grandparents and uncle used to live comes back. Hours of play, creating our own stories and adventures fighting the evil Empire. All because of a little teddy bear🐻
