Besides the amazing health benefits of this raw juice combination, it's refreshing, hydrating and delicious.
Digestion: Mint is a great appetizer or palate cleanser, and it promotes digestion. It also soothes stomachs in cases of indigestion or inflammation.
Nausea & Headache: Again, the strong and refreshing aroma of mint is a quick and effective remedy for nausea.
Respiratory Disorders and Coughs: mint is very effective in clearing up congestion of the nose, throat, bronchi and lungs, which gives relief for respiratory disorders that often result from asthma and the common cold. As mint cools and soothes the throat, nose and other respiratory channels, it relieves the irritation which causes chronic coughing.
Depression and Fatigue: Mint is a natural stimulant, it charges your batteries and get your brain functioning on a high level again. If you are feeling sluggish, anxious, depressed, or simply exhausted, mint can help. Mint gives you a much-needed boost.
Skin Care and Pimples: mint juice is an excellent skin cleanser. It soothes skin, and helps to cure infections and itchiness, as well as being a good way to reduce pimples, and it can even relieve some of the symptoms of acne.
Memory Loss: A recent study explored the effects that mint has on alertness, retention, and cognitive function. It found that people who frequently use chewing gum, whose major active ingredient is mint, had higher levels of memory retention and mental alertness than those who did not.
Weight Loss: Mint is a stimulant and also stimulates the digestive enzymes that absorb nutrients from food and consume fat and turn it into usable energy.
Allergies and Hay Fever: Extracts from mint leaves have been shown to inhibit the release of histamines.

The holidays are a really tough time for me. It’s been especially hard for me in the last few years to really get into the true holiday spirit.
For the longest time, I’ve wanted to check out @fortechorus (the gay men’s choir) and even more so after I got to write a piece on them for Daily Xtra. So I figured the Christmas show would be a good place to start.
Although I was feeling under the weather, this evening was the perfect balm for my soul. I don’t think I smiled, laughed or just felt so moved by something in a long time.
Honestly, I needed that and I am so grateful I had @lorakgrady as my wonderful date for the evening.
While I can’t say for certain that I’m in the holiday spirit now, what I can say is that it ignited some serious warm fuzzies in me. .
As temps dipped down to -15 on Friday, I had an opportunity to sit down with Larry. Larry is experiencing homelessness on the streets of Toronto. His compelling story spoke to me on so many levels. Sitting in the cold with him was such a humbling experience. I can’t even fathom having to sleep on the streets. ⏬
Repost from @centennial_photo *** As Toronto hit a deep freeze, not everyone spent the night indoors.
Larry Noble, 51, lives on the streets of Toronto. Years ago, Larry’s home burned down. Leaving him with third degree burns and without a home.
Larry chooses to sleep outside. He says Toronto shelters are not safe; they’re overflowing with substance abuse.
Larry has a 38 year old daughter and two grandchildren. It’s not likely he will see them over the holidays.
If there’s one thing Larry could say to Torontonians it’s “Be nice to the homeless.” Photo by Jennifer Teixeira @jajajenny1 on assignment.

Possibly one of our most famous grilled fish. It’s called gindara which is our black cod. Have Chef Peter prepare it for you on our robata. We bet it will become your favourite too. This fish literally melts in your mouth 😋
