@kane_melbourne and I are working on this Popobe for the Toy to the World Project. It's all for Aids research and we're designing this 15" bear to be auctioned off later this year. He's a lot bigger than I expected! #toytotheworld#toytotheworldproject#popobe
Are you a 3D Artist, Toy Designer, Sculptor or Custom Vinyl Enthusiast? Toy to the World Project is back for 2017 and they are putting the call out to studios and workshops all over the world.
They need your help to customise over 200 blank Popobe Bears - the customs will be exhibited in Melbourne at ArtBoy Gallery in October and auctioned online through BuddyBid's integrated Facebook auction app.
All the funds from this will go to the Victorian AIDS Council to help them continue delivering the vital support and services they offer.
The 3 toys that sell for the most will win some awesome artist focused prize packs*. Sign up via the website: www.toytotheworldproject.com *Ts & Cs apply.
Alex was SO excited to play Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom, but he got a little stressed when he realized how long it would take to get through the whole thing. I'm proud of him for being able to just enjoy the experience and not worry about collecting them all. That's a big challenge for some with serious OCD. He's happy that we all could help him get more cards. Sure hope they bring this to @disneyland someday! #sorcerersofthemagickingdom#magickingdom#disney#disneyworld#toytotheworld
TOY TO THE WORLD is back for 2017 but it needs all our help to make it happen!
This amazingly creative & engaging art project helps raise much needed funds for the Victorian AIDS Council but it can only happen if we all can spare a few bucks from each of us to make it work.
TTTW's Pozible Campaign has just been launched so head over to Toy To The World Project Facebook page and follow the links for more deets. Plus there's a pretty sweet vid of their previous opening night party we held here a few years back. .
By popular request, I'm sharing a full picture of my LEGO minifig shelf. The lighting isn't great in that part of the room so forgive the graininess.
Here are the answers to the questions I've received: There are currently 381 minifigures on this shelf. I think I have room for about 90 more at the most. We also have at least 100 minifigures downstairs that are living in the sets they were designed for. There are about 20 minifigures that live in the loose box of LEGO bricks that come out when small friends come to visit. This is my collection and I've been working on it for about 10 years. I am happy to shareit with my kids and future grandchildren.
I usually put together the minifigures. Alex is mostly in charge of the bigger sets. We definitely work together though. I build the Christmas sets because he doesn't enjoy those as much. My Mom even put together
a few sets for me recently.
Each time we take a vacation, I select a few minifigs to come along for photoshoots. The shelf is custom made by a talented artisan at ayrowstudios.com and the answer
to the final question should already be obvious... yes, I have just a little OCD!
P.S.If you like pictures of minifigs and other toys, you might enjoy the blog that Alex and I run at toytotheworld.com and you can follow us on facebook at Toy to the World
A beautiful campaign by @clubfmkerala which collects toys from the people and distributes them to the orphanages. If u too want to be a part of it, do send ur old but neat toys to ur nearest club fm office. I think the last date is today. Well, Zena was holding on to her favourite teddy bear and i thought she might make a scene while giving it away. But she surprised me.
The name suits it right. 'Toy to the World'! Indeed spreads 'Joy to the world'! #toytotheworld#clubfm#addingsmiles#toysandkids#donateyourtoys#moresmiles#goodmorning
