The proof is in the pudding. I eat less when I track it!!! I've had the worst time with meals this pregnancy. If it is in front of me, it's been getting eaten!! I've gained more weight than I anticipated and have a feeling I will too what I gained with my first daughter. It's been frustrating. I eat when bored. I eat when lonely. I eat just because!! I didn't track a damned thing up until today. 
So today I was at my limit. Bloated. Tired. Sick of feeling over full. So I opened My Fitness Pal (it's been on my phone this whole time!) and actually used it. I brought a water bottle with me to work and stayed hydrated. I tracked everything I ate today and it made me more mindful. Chips came across my desk today but they went uneaten. My daughter wanted McDonalds for dinner so I put fries and chicken fingers in the oven and we had those for dinner instead. I was definitely more aware and paid attention to what I ate. And it worked. I had my best day in weeks!! It's funny how the human mind works. Start weighing yourself every day, and suddenly you become aware of what you're eating. Start timing your run, and suddenly you have more motivation to push through so you can do better time than yesterday. Start timing your tasks, and you become aware of how much time you are actually being productive. Start timing your projects and you start to think about what you can do better, what you can outsource (your weaknesses) and work more on your strengths. Start tracking your traffic and conversions and that makes you start thinking about your Offer, your Product(s) and your Copy, your marketing efforts, where the traffic is coming from, which platforms to focus on, which ones to ignore, and so on.

Tracking increases your awareness of everything. Whether it is your diet, your time spent on Facebook, or your business.

And then, what you ACTUALLY DO with that awareness is what separates the doodlers from the doers.

Tracking anything that you want to get better at.

It's hard to eat less than 10 grams of carbs a day. It's hard to not be able to have root veggies (like beets and carrots!!) Or any dairy at all. I'm essentially a lean protein eating rabbit, but not even good rabbit food, haha!

I’ve been having a hard time finishing my points lately, mostly because I find it hard to snack while I’m at work. But even when I do snack, I’ve noticed I still have 8-10 points left at the end of the day and I know that everyday can’t be capped with a pint of Halo Top ice cream. . 
That being said, yesterday I had the epiphany that I have to start eating more REAL food.  Real bread.  Real yogurt.  Real fuel.  And while I’m not going to say I will never eat low fat diet food, I am going to make an effort to eat more nutrient dense, natural food and lessen my protein bar consumption (I do have quite a stash, so prepare to see a few for awhile). So, last night after I got out of work at 9, I ran to the food store just to get going a little bit which lead me to my breakfast this morning: two slices of Dave’s Killer (thin sliced) Bread (4), three tbsp PBFit (2), a banana (0), and a cup of coffee with three tbsp organic whole milk (1). {7/30}

Up 0.3 this morning and I’m actually okay with this. There was that whole Sunday thing and then Wednesday night “eat everything” issue. I used all my weeklies this week and then some fit points. I was honestly expecting a bigger gain. Now that my body has flushed out all the cruddy stuff I subjected it to in Aug/Sept it’s rebalancing and I know I’m going to need to buckle down on those weeklies in order to move the scale. Constantly learning, constantly reminding myself to focus. Next week we’re going for a loss. On another note, I got 5/7 blue dots for the week. This week I’m aiming for 6/7. Before I end the day, I wanted to talk about World Mental Health day. I know most of us have these accounts for physical health, but mental health is, and should be, something we also pay close attention to. Like many, I’ve experienced post-partum after kiddos. I also deal with anxiety. I mean working professional, mom, wife, and type A? Classic case! One of my awesome doctors encouraged me to sweat as part of my treatment for anxiety, and can I just tell you? I feel amazing after sweating out a long day. It’s a good way to release emotions, and just the general chemical crap that anxiety causes. It’s a beautiful feeling to know that I can help myself physically and mentally by putting in a good workout. After I became vocal about my own struggles, I’ve realized there a TON of us battling similar anxiety issues. I'm feeling so incredibly down on myself today.  I don't know if it's hormones or a general bad feeling, but I looked at myself in the mirror this morning and for the first time in ages, I broke down in tears.  My stomach looked absolutely gigantic and I cannot shake it off.  I feel so sluggish and gross.  I weighed myself last week, again for the first time in quite some time, and I was only 4 pounds higher than my lowest weight (given the way I feel, it feels like a 20 pound gain). I have tried so hard, but for some reason I find myself picking at food here and there when I come home from work.  I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that it's really hard for me to snack throughout the day and I have to stop unintentionally point hoarding,  Anyway, I'm trying my hardest to be perfectly on track and I really plan on trying to share everything on here to the best of my abilities.

Breakfast:  Chocolate Protein Oats made with 1/2c old fashioned oats (4), 23g Orgain Chocolate Fudge Protein powder (1), 1/2c vanilla unsweetened cashew milk (0), cinnamon (0), 1 tsp vanilla extract (0), and a banana (0) with a cup of coffee with 3 tbsp 2% fairlife milk (1). {6/30}
