I feel like age matter in many things, like, since I was young I knew I was a little stickler for details, later I found out I'm just a little OCD, as I for up older it becomes worse, I get more annoyed and smaller details bother me, it up to a point that some times I don't enjoy a live show if I know the music because the artists goes places free style and it bothers the crap out of me, on the other hand I read some where that people with OCD can be really annoyed by free style Jazz music and I LOVE free style old school Jazz, figure that out.
One thing I like regardless of the situation I'm in and the places I go is a good run, me, my thoughts ans the road. 🏃♂️🏃♂️
I went Tuesday and today for a morning swim 1,150 meter 🏊♂️🏊♂️ and it helps me a lot with the cramps I used to have at the beginning of my run, my goal is to be ready for Ironman 70.3, I feel like I can do it at this point and the last one in the US is at the end of this month so I'm not sure I will make 2017 😕

I thought about it all summer last year. But every time I thought about going home, I went out to practice. I trained. I wanted to quit so bad, but I didn't.

Just an update: I've been sick most of the week. Started feeling better yesterday. It's been 10 days so far not running. Feeling depressed and trying to process my last marathon failure. I'm disappointed because I spent so many grueling months training for the @chimarathon and to have a slower time makes me so angry. I'm in a rut and I don't know how long I'll be in it but I need to figure out what went wrong and write new goals to make me stronger. Right now I feel the real emotion of a broken heart. #lovehaterelationshipwithrunning#myheartisbroken

THE 10 MOST IMPORTANT MARATHONS OF MEB’S CAREER (1/10)
The 2002 New York City Marathon is where then-10,000-meter American record-holder Meb Keflezighi ran his 26.2 mile debut. At age 27 at the time, Meb went into the race thinking about his accomplishments he’d made on the track and cross country and how he hoped to branch out his success onto the roads.
Despite the quickness of the early pace, Keflezighi went with the leaders and even lead at times during the race. He and the pack passed through 20 miles on course record pace (2:07), but he began to fall behind and the miles got longer as the suffering grew greater. His last 10K of 35:08 was 50 seconds a mile slower in pace than the first 20 were and he crossed the finish line at 2:12:35 for 9th — 4 and ½ minutes behind the victor.
Through all this, Meb still had become the first American to place in the top 10 in 8 years, though he did miss the Olympic “A” Standard of 2:12:00. This was the last marathon he thought he would ever run. I think we are all glad that it wasn’t.

Tempo runs are my kryptonite... but as I always say the workout you hate is the workout that benefits you the most. I'm going to keep working on those, I'm looking forward to the winter racing schedule and getting ready for the comeback. I haven't raced frequently since college and I'm finally in the mindset to be excited about racing again. It's been a journey the past few years. I'm just glad I could have you along for the ride.
