@_j_e_s_s_e_ getting it done on pitch 3 on La Cierta Edad💪💪💪. One of many great gems in Red Rock Canyon. Varied and super fun climbing all the way to the top!!!!! Oh how I just love the wild chimney on pitch 2!!! 🎉💥🙏💪 -
A little throwback to @sashadigiulian and @jon_cardwell ascent of the Misty Wall in May. For Sasha to spend 12 hours on the wall, climbing offwidths and everything thing else, and then step up and pull these 5.13 moves off - BOOM 💪🙏. The wall is obviously super steep, and I could just barely get a toe on to stabilize myself and keep from spinning in space. Thanks @adidasterrex for the opportunity to be part of this.
I had never even seen the Grand Canyon before Sunday. So tagging the summit on one of the 8 named castles, that's seen less than a handful of known ascents, was a really special introduction for me 🏔️🙌
The Rostrum is my all time favorite free solo. Its nice to run a quick lap on it when I'm going into or out of The Valley. This is a cool variation called The Uprising. It's a steep and splitter wide hand crack just to the right of the original corner. Sweet shot by @_drew_smith_
P.S Jim and I broke into the 2:20s on the Nose today with a time of 2:29:39
Finding that bomber placement after some gnarly runout feels like 🎉✨💯🤗 // I will probably forever get nervous before leading trad. But I will never get the same rush and same reward from anything else. There's nothing like reaching the top after a battle between just you and the rock... #climbislife#jtreeseason#tradisrad#crackaddict
Michael cheesin' after a sunny day in Eldo. 2 years ago today we took our gym friendship outside. Thanks for being one of my most consistent climbing buds @m.muszik and for always bringing snacks & stoke! #eldoradocanyon#tradisrad#belaytionship
I've had the privilege to make my way to Oregon for the week to climb and support my friends over at @alpenglowcollective.co They represent the growing community of climbers in creating a platform for women and trans genders to find adventure partners with similar goals and interest. Alpen Glow Co is one of three finalist for the Bend Outdoor Worx @theventureoutproject and are presenting TONIGHT at 5:00pm at The Tower Theater in Bend, Oregon. If you're in the area, come support these rad ladies with the shared passion to bring people together for the love of climbing.

We got to hang off cliffs at the @royalgorgebridge and do a little slacklining with our friends at @rmslackline | @breathefest | @csa_chicago_slackliners. Full video on facebook.
My goal for last week's big wall romp was to lead my fair share of pitches; because last year @clmbrlifr took me up El Cap on a route that was quite intimidating for me, and I ended up leading only a single pitch.
Well... I led more than one pitch this time around yet still far fewer than I should have. We started out swinging leads, but my head wasn't really it in; then the excuses started mounting: "If you lead more we'll get to the bivy with daylight to spare... and there's people behind us, it would suck if they caught up to us..." and and and. I never quite managed to vanquish my inner monster so made Paul lead & haul three fourths of the route, which he did gracefully and without complaints. And you know what?
It's ok. Sometimes when your head's not in it, it's just not in it. Sometimes we all crush, sometimes we don't, and what matters at the end is that everyone is safe and looking forward to the next adventure. I know I did not crush on Lurking Fear, but we did get down safely and I AM looking forward to my next wall, and to all the rad mountain and trail adventures that are to be had in between now and then.
Climbing Matthes Crest in Tuolumne. We soloed all the way to the North Tower then simuled the rest of the Crest. We nailed it on a blue bird day moving fast and light. I believe it was @clay.ascending first free solo!! Its great when everything goes perfect like it did on this day but its also important to remember that things can also go horribly wrong. A week or so after we climbed this another party roped up for the first two pitches, fell and the rope was cut on some razor flakes and the leader died(unverified rumors of the event). Remember that each day is precious and this activity is inherently full of danger. Train, stay strong, focused and don't fall when you shouldn't. This was my first climb that involved significant sections of down climbing. Albeit on moderate terrain but lots of no fall situations, we didn't fall. @Clayascending took this rad photo of me and I have to say its been a pleasure to be with him on his journey of developing into a strong well rounded climber. Just 8 or so months before this I took him on his first sport multi pitch. Now he's crushing multi pitch trad, good work Clay.
