It’s an emotion we all experience. It’s the lens through which I viewed the world for years. Honestly, I still struggle with it to this day, despite my stress mitigation and mindset enhancing disciplines. To be angry is to know passion, is to feel the inner fire, and to embrace the dark side of being human. Heated torrents of hate and fear overwhelmingly drown the mind when overcome by anger. There are so many reasons why not to be angry, yet in the moment, they seem theoretically distant at best.
On my journey, I’ve placed determined efforts in overcoming my limiting belief systems through various meditation practices. Contemplative disciplines have transformed every aspect of my life by empowering me to place personal identity on the inner-self. My life without these transformative routines would have been like a ship without sails. They are my internal compass and have been a stabilizing force in my life. Meditation is one of the highest #civilianskills a Veteran can adopt in their quest to find inner peace
