So many things have been changing for me this year. I’ve been travelling a journey of renewal. .
My relationships have been shifting and getting more real. More authentic. My relationship with myself has been shifting towards raw truth. Owning what I am unashamedly and embracing the woman I know I can become. .
I’m learning to reach for the stars. To let myself shine in a new way. Casting off the cloaks of pretend. Those shadows that I wore to make myself small so that others could feel empowered. .
There’s room for us all. .
As Autumn descends on the land, I see a reflection of my journey. This is the time to embrace the death. For in death, an emptiness grows and brings with it new life. Opportunity for growth, change, awakening. .
Tomorrow I have challenged myself to work through one of my biggest traumas with my therapist using EMDR. I’ve been avoiding it since we began in February and I’ve been building up to it. .
Pretending it didn’t happen or even acknowledging it but not processing it doesn’t clear the slate. It’s been 16 years and I’m still haunted. .
It is time. Time to create space for the new, the fresh. Time to honour the young girl and her wounds. Time to get clear on what happened and to truly process. .

As a close friend of Amber's for several years, I have painfully stood by while people scratch their heads and get upset because they don't understand how someone could be violated that many times and that she must be 'asking for it.' People with deep trauma and who have some psychoeducation know that, as survivors of abuse, we often struggle to exercise healthy boundaries because we weren't allowed to have boundaries. We struggle with discerning between safe situations and dangerous situations because to survive our early experiences, we had to believe that the injustices were okay. And we often lack a strong protector in our psyche because we never internalized one from the environment, so when there is a threat- we literally cannot mobilize. So those that are quick to react and deny Amber's truth, I would like to gently request that you do some research on trauma. I promise you it is a rabbit hole of fragmented psyche, stunted emotional development, confusing sensations, a lot of pain and unfortunately repeated traumas.. because our unhealed wounds get externalized and recreated until they are healed. None of this is a survivors fault and it doesn't mean that perpetrators are exempt from doing their soul work. Everyone should simply ask before touching another intimately and Amber is doing the work to make this a reality and change the world. But we are still vulnerable. <3 -jenniesayswords
Beberapa waktu lalu saya melihat adanya postingan tentang penatalaksanaan cedera gawat darurat yang beredar di media sosial. Pada postingan tersebut dikatakan bahwa pada kasus cedera berat, kepala korban harus didongakan untuk memberikan jalan nafas. Tanpa bermaksud menggurui atau menyalahkan, saya akan membahasnya sedikit.
Teknik "Head Tilt - Chin Lift", atau pendongakan kepala, adalah tindakan yang dilakukan untuk membuka jalan nafas yang tertutup pada korban yang umumnya mengalami penurunan kesadaran. Namun, pada kasus dengan kecurigaan cedera Kepala-Leher, hal ini TIDAK BOLEH DILAKUKAN. Mengapa? Karena dengan mendongakkan kepala, muncul risiko bertambahnya kerusakan tulang dan jaringan syaraf di sekitar leher yang mengalami cedera. Seperti yang telah saya bahas pada postingan saya sebelumnya, pada kasus kecurigaan cedera kepala-leher, kita harus memastikan kepala dan leher tetap pada posisi netral. Jadi, bagaimanakah upaya kita untuk membuka nafas pada kasus seperti itu?
Teknik "Jaw Thrust" merupakan teknik yang sesuai untuk korban dengan cedera kepala-leher. Pada teknik ini, kepala korban sama sekali tidak didongakkan. Yang dilakukan penolong adalah mengangangkat rahang bawah korban ke atas dengan jari-jari kedua tangannya, kemudian membuka mulut korban dengan menggunakan ibu jari (perhatikan gambar). Dengan demikian, jalan nafas akan terbuka tanpa harus berisiko memperparah cedera kepala-leher korban. Jadi, teknik "Jaw Thrust" ini jauh lebih aman digunakan pada kasus kecurigaan (atau sudah jelas) cedera kepala-leher.

The previous information posted from a follower is correct: The police went to her home to assess the situation and chose to forcibly handcuff her and take her to the psych ward. She asked me to reach out and see if there is anyone, maybe a lawyer, that can help her. You can ask for Amber Johnson though she is not sure she can receive calls. I am alone.
What's next, what's next ... An inability to be in the now. What is being present? I don't even know what that is.
Who's free, who will keep me company... The feeling of being alone subsides for a while - as I experience my self by reflecting off someone else.
I know it's ending... even if they are toxic for me.
I am scared to be alone once again.
Sitting in the same room with others... friends and family.
I still feel alone.
Racing thoughts .... a tight feeling in my chest... anger towards those that hurt me.
The ones that hurt me, they should heal me!
I am someone that cannot be alone.
I beg you don't leave or please come over.
I cannot stand being by myself.
I cannot stand my thoughts. I feel scared like a child even though I am an adult.
Oh no... am I alone tonight. Isn't anyone free.. anyone?! Where is my stash... I need to numb myself through this... Why isn't anyone answering me!!!?? Don't you care?!? I am alone. ----- This was somewhat me in the past and so many people that I meet through my work. It's actually not our natural state of being and it can be healed.
Being in the moment, present and peaceful is our natural state of being.
Learning to reconnect with that, learn how to relieve the stress and understand yourself and your internal world - so that you can achieve bliss and bursts of energy or relaxation is possible 100% and I see transformations everyday.
