Let's look at statistics ....↘️↘️ ⚠️Only about two-thirds of children born to teen mothers earn a high school diploma, compared to 81% of their peers with older parents. ----
🙋🏻My kid is graduating Penn State today :D ⚠️Only 40% of teen mothers finish high school. Fewer than 2% finish college by age 30.
🙋🏻I graduated with a Health Assistant Cert. went to community college for Nurse Aide and proudly dropped out of RN as it was no longer a passion of mine. :D ⚠️Children of teen mothers perform worse on many measures of school readiness, are 50% more likely to repeat a grade, and are more likely than children born to older mothers to drop out of high school.
🙋🏻Ummm my kid has been a STRAIGHT A student, National Honor Society, and Deans list in college :D ⚠️Educational achievement affects the lifetime income of teen mothers: two-thirds of families started by teens are poor, and nearly one in four will depend on welfare within 3 years of a child’s birth. Many children will not escape this cycle of poverty. ----
🙋🏻Nope, not me kid! Yup started at the bottom.... don't we all? But pushed hard for the top for my kid and she now lives a life I always prayed for. :D
These statistics could go on and on but the moral of the story..... I did, WE did something that wasn't supposed to be done! We defied the ODDS, 💯🌟GOD IS GOOD💯🌟!!!! And I couldn't have done any of this without my husband.... showing me life, love, compassion, the ability to dream and think out side the box.
