Yumi in @tajsamudracolombo is a pretty nice sushi spot.
Sorry for the lack of pictures of our 🍱 We were too distracted by how amazing it tasted.
Tip : Go for the Volcano Special Sushi Maki (10 pieces) and Special Sushi (8 piece) both filled with Tempura prawn and spicy Mayo crab. 🙊🍤The latter was of the best sushi rolls I've had in Colombo! 🍣
We also had Chicken Karaage which was a pretty big hot appetizer. While it wasn't as flavoursome as the sushi rolls, it paired well with the Mayo so I liked it nonetheless. I mean who hates fried chicken right ? 🙄
The staff was efficient and nice. The seating has huge comfy luxury chairs and there's a bar inside which looks pretty great as well.
I opted for a mocktail today - Sunrise : carrot, orange with strawberry purée. 😍 It both both fresh and cool.
For dessert we had the a creamy Maccha Green Tea Ice cream and Bitter chocolate tart (tasted more like the outside of a lava cake tbh) I liked it nonetheless.
This luscious persimmon was harvested, preserved and then is stored outside in a special earthenware pot (onggi pot) to keep the fruit icy cold and deliciously refreshing. This was a real treat that our Korean friends shared with us. #Koreanfood#kfoodproject#persimmon#winterfruit
Last night I had a mini family feast with my brother and his wifey before Mommy and I go on our trip 💕 I haven’t eaten here for so long and forgot how good this place was. I personally don’t like their dimsum but dinner is still pretty good and service is always friendly and attentive. Nothing fancy but I quite enjoy humble places like this ❤️🌈
There was a celebration for someone’s 90th birthday so a majority of the tables were reserved. It was quite adorable as we watched so many grannies and grandpas and multiple generations come together to celebrate. Really something so heart warming to witness. Lots of cakes, flowers, and people dressed up “fashion through the generations”💕 Lucky to have been kind of part of this special event!
When I get back from my trip I think I need to get 9 other people together to have their Peking Duck and King Crab feast 🤗 10 courses and it works out to be under $70 per person!
Also, if you smile and be nice to the manager lady she’ll let you bring your own wine, beer, booze for your dinner ❤️ no corkage!
#matchalatte under the rain, and it turned into snow in a second!! Kinosaki is a really nice place for #onsen !! You will get an onsen pass after checking in any hotel, so u can enjoy all 7 publc onsens during your stay in the town! And ofcoz wearing yukata in such cold weather is a fun too XD
17-course supermarket themed omakase (part 3 out of 3)
1. 'Broken' wine glass: Prawn paste rojak sauce covered by jackfruit; white lotus sap in glass. Twist of how rojak sauce usually covers the fruit
2.Perfume (Genblong): Bit into the local version of a sweet bonbon and smelled the durian essence. I was so convinced it was a durian truffle. Smell changes taste yo
3. Glow in the dark: Neon sorbet pineapple rice/sago with tumeric, mint; frozen tonic water to look like the blue crater
4. Off-the-shelf steak tartare and raw egg: Just kidding, what about pounded watermelon and peach/mango in clear syrup
5. Lipstick: Celerot sticky rice cake
6. Charcoal, not quite: Boiled cassava, potato chips, rendang-styled lamb. Mind blowing change in textures
The Phnom Penh food scene is incredibleee 😍😍 So much good food here!!! Can we stay a few more weeks so I can eat everything??? I'm in love! So far we have sampled super-cheap super-good Chinese noodles, Khmer BBQ, French fusion, and farm-to-table. Totally was not expecting this when we booked our last minute ticket to Cambodia, but I'm in foodie heaven here 😍 (and a food coma). We have been above our usual food budget the past few days, but it's sooo worth it right now... Soon we will be back to our $1 meals in Thailand. But for now ☕🍩🍜🥥🥘🌶️🎉

My first time trying this dish. I asked about this dish and was told it is of middle eastern origins which is usually vegetarian. This dis consists of baked runny eggs, chorizo and spinach served with flat bread. Loved being able to dip the flat bread and grab some different flavours with every bite. The eggs were perfection. I enjoyed the tomato taste a lot and thought the whole dish worked well. Great dish would love to try more of it.

Got back from a tough workout tonight & was feeling great yet I wanted everything I had in the fridge 😜😜 Sometimes an intense workout just feels so dang good (other than the hangryness) hahaha!! 🌟
Anyhooo - I had a bed of baby kale topped with sautéed tilapia, sautéed onions/fresh garlic/shrooms, @eatbanza chickpea cavatappi mixed with smashed avo, red peppers, & lemon 😍💚 And then I most definitely had dessert (sowwy, not pictured), which was @jojoschocolatebark pb choco bark & will probably be eating something else before bed 😉 Hope you all had a fabbbb weekend!!!
